I go by the name of Dizzyarse and, if you knew me, you would realise how appropriate that is!
I thought it was time to join a new forum... I have been customising 1/6 scale figures for a couple of years now and often look to Sideshow and Hot Toys for inspiration and parts to cannibalise.
Orginally i got into this hobby after getting toys for my son and being disapointed by either the lack of detail or the lack of posability in many of them.
I remember when i was my sons age and Action Man (GI Joe to our American brothers) seemed so realistic and the way you could accessorise, customise pose and, above all, play with him blew me away.
Then the trappings of age caught up with me and I put away my toys... until the birth of my son when suddenly I realised that I had an excuse to buy toys again. And that is when i realised that for some of the toys I bought there was room for improvement.
E-bay opened up a fantastic market for parts and I graduated from simple re-paints and body swaps to now casing my own parts.
I will post pictures of various customs in the appropriate sections of this forum... I have already seen some of the Predator armour I have casted and sold to raise funds for new projects displayed by other members on here.
So, thats me... I look foreward to any comments and if I can help out with queries and casting parts I am all to pleased to do so.
