Hey Everyone - My name is Greg - collector of statues, busts, vintage 80s figures. I come here often but finally registered because I need HELP ! I'll post my situation in the proper thread. Thanks for creating such a great forum.
I know it is bad form to sign up and then ask for help - per my experience on other forums - but any help you can give me is much appreciated: I can't post elsewhere:
Story: I sold a LE Optimus Prime Maquette - shipped it via UPS - UPS beat it all to heck and broke the chest plate, foot and several other parts. They have approved the claim (sold it for 1500 plus shipping) have admitted liability. BUT now they want an expert's opinion that it is non repairable and rendered without value. I've refunded the buyer - I've explained that it is one of 500 and that there is not a market for broken / repaired items etc. Do you all have any suggestions as to what I should do? I"ve contacted a local comic shop and they may help. But if there is an expert/business on here that would be willing to support my stance I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
