I don't know if what I'm about to describe is the problem or even related to it, but I've had a similar reaction with certain clear-coats I've used to seal a paint-job.
It's like the paint never really cures.
If thats the case, I really don't have a clue.. I've never successfully found a way to seal those heads :gah:

I think i see what your talking about. I usally coat them in Super glue brush on. It seals the resin.

I would strip the paint. Rub acetone over it to get off any of the mold release agent off the sculpt if it is resin. Patch any air bubbles the sculpt might have in that area then repaint it.

is this betos sculpt? thats not good man. im not really sure what u mean by "leaking" but when i seal my heads with varnish it sometimes just doesnt dry and stays sticky, it happened when i did it with my beto head, but it eventually ended up drying once i put another coat over it, can u describe exactly what its doin to the head?

It must be a reaction between the clear coat and the plastic cause i just had the same problem recently with a pair boots.I had finished painting them and they were fine for a couple of days and as soon as i sprayed flat clear coat it started making a glaze over the boots, which from there it got worst with it getting tacky and oily. The only solution was to strip the paint just like Small Studios said.
