help me decide...

i'm trying to decide what line(s) to stick to and in doing so, i'm finding myself stuck between a rock and a hard place. i love the pf line and want to stick with it, but now i'm thinking the same thing with the 1:1 busts and the bowen fb line. i'm really trying to avoid the completist mentality, but i can't decide between collecting one line or picking up just my favorites (wolverine, spiderman, hulk).

HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!!!

i paid roughly 400 shipped, so i'm just looking to get back what i spent. i really don't think it would be too tough to clear that on ebay, but i'd rather sell it to someone on here.

I also found it impossible to Stay to one line.. there's simply too much out there... so thats why I collect different formats of the characters I like.

For me, I've just been sticking to favorite characters no matter the line - although I'm a huge fan of anything "VS"... so I'm on the wagon for that, but I can't see myself owning a Blade vs. Dracula dio...not a fan of that one, so I'll pass. Really depends on how freaky you are about completing stuff.

The second is completeing one series or line, so all dioramas or PFF or LSB. Since they all have a similar format it looks cool. Problem is you might/will end up with some that are not quite as good as the others.

The third (my preference) is picking a few characters and getting all kinds of stuff representing them.

Unfortunately my collection thus far is in a fourth catagory...a ragtag subset of a bunch of different unconnected stuff. Looks like hell...trust me...

Yeah me too...Im still proud of the stuff I got....until I go on the gallaries page and look at the Squider collection!

Keep and buy the things you really like. This is the way I am trying to collect now and so far it has truly made me a happier collector. Good luck on your search man.

...And start working part-time at nursing homes. Latch onto a few of the wealthier old people and get to be their best friend. Sooner than later they'll kick the bucket and leave you with a substantial chunk of change for making their remaining moments happy ones.

Then go out and spend it on booze, drugs, hookers and statues!

...or just statues. Y'know, whatever...

true that... in the end you'll be much happier with what you have instead of stressing out every time something new comes out.

Just collect what makes you happy. You have a character preference, so go with that.

Lines cause problems. Collect your favorite pieces and screw the lines. Being a completist in a line means you would have to buy even the crap pieces. Would you really want to have to buy the FF Thing movie Maquette? You'd be the only one who did but...

I am sticking to just PFs. But I'll pick up the odd Dio and 1:1 piece if it's mind blowing.
