Well I finally got around to finishing my Robocop Helmet to accompany my Bruce Hansing Robocop bust. The color scheme used was very complex by Bruce. He incorporated Blues, purples, silvers, browns, and yellows. I tried my best to replicate his color scheme and match the suit. I would love some honest opinions about if I did a good job before I clear coat and make it permanent.

By the way this is my first time ever using an airbrush, please tell me what you think.

Looks good to me. Matches the other parts of the chest armor. Will you be adding anything for the visor? Or you planning on just leaving it open?

I voted Keep trying but, i think you got the tones down right with the colour of the helmet,if you are going for RoboCop 2 version then i would gloss the helmet up to a nice shine and the chin guard needs a glossy shine as well, looks great though and i am sure its a pain to get the purples and bluish-greens to blend in well.

Thanks alot for the feedback...I plan on glossing up everything but as I stated I want to make sure it looks good enough because after I do that it becomes sort of permanent. I appreciate your honesty though as it is what I want so I can make it perfect.

You've done a really great job... Are you going to add battle damage to it? And are you going to put it on the head that I've seen on that Bust before? Because that'll be awesome!

LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE!

Its hard to tell sometimes, how the helmet should look as it gives off a different look, depending on the lighting and shot through out the movie. The finnish reminds me of like that chemeleon paint they use on some sports cars.

Looks more greyish here

I posted a pic from R3 there, had to edit that. lol

I want to add battle damage but not really sure on what to do for it. I plan on buying a peter weller life cast to display. It will not fit the other head de to the metal tubing on it.

Funny how you state it looks different colors from different angles, here a picture I just took with flash and it looks alot more silverish and much of the blueish purple have disapeered but their still there :

You have done an amazing job of paint matching the helmet to the body. I have always loved RoboCop, and have painted a couple models of him myself. Part2 was always my favorite look for him, and I studied it quite a lot for paint reference.

In this state of damage (mid-movie) I don't think we actually see the helmet, so my tendency would be not to ^^^^ it up, but leave it as is. Don't put in a visor either.

Again, perfect color match. My only suggestion is a bit of purple haze from the forehead back kinda like a wide, subtle mohawk. Also, the lower back of the helmet was very dark blue/purple in the movie. Make that heavier.

As for gloss, it is more accurate for him to be glossy, but it will likely kill the nice, realistic titanium finish it appears to have now. I'll leave that up to you.

great job man! looks pretty consistent with the rest of the armour to me.

i always loved robocop's colour scheme, esp with the gloss. like a shiny new car.
