The irony is I’ve seen ppl online talk crap about Cavill as Superman and how him making an appearance doesn’t matter b/c he sucks as Superman; yet, his appearance is probably what’s getting more ppl to want to see the movie than there were previously. The buzz about finally seeing Cavill return as Superman seems to be way more exciting/interesting than anything else this movie has to offer. I’m even considering it even though I’ve had no desire whatsoever before the confirmed appearance, since The Rock basically plays the same character in all his movies and I tend to not like them as it is.

Screw it. Just bought my ticket to the Friday 1:30pm showing. It’ll be the first time I’ve been to the theaters since 2019. Last movie I saw was Godzilla: King of the Monsters (first, I thought it was either Avengers: Endgame or Shazam!, but I checked and KotM came out after those two).

And yes, I will be staying for the post-credit scene.

The early reviews were fairly mixed to negative but a lot of non-reviewers I’ve seen who have given their opinions are seeming to like the film. Kind of seems like people who went in with lowered expectations enjoyed it more than they expected. I’m going to see it soon hopefully.

I just saw the movie and was wondering the same thing.
When I did a Google search, the only item I could find was this Christmas ornament. I would love to see Hot Toys add the cape to the black and gold version.

The movie wasn't bad! Definitely leaning towards owning this figure. Will have to wait until the release to see how it turns out. If its good, I'm going for the gold!

Saw the film today I enjoyed it. I definitely am tempted to get both but will probably settle for the Gold version. I'm also hoping they make Hawkman, Dr. Fate and of course Superman.

Ok after watching the movie I'm definitely going to need a Black Adam figure now. The Rock was fantastic in the role and the movie was just a blast to watch, and nowhere near the lifeless mess the critics had me expecting.

Gotta say I found the shiny gold armor to look pretty damn cheesy on him though, so I'll definitely be going with the all-black look. The only question is whether I'll be going with HT or Inart, since it sounds like they're about to reveal their version soon...

I'll be curious to see if HT updates theirs with the cape and much shinier gold. I guess both must have been tweaked in post production, as the figure appears to be much closer to how the Rock looked in the outfit at Comic Con.

And he definitely didn't wear that hooded cloak with the gold.

For those wondering about the black vs gold suits in the movie:

Spoiler

When he is first released, he wears the black suit with the cloak&hood. The cloak&hood are soon disintegrated by a missile and he spends most of the rest of the movie in the black suit (without cloak or cape or anything).

Near the end of the movie, after he embraces the role of champion of Kahndaq, he now has the gold armor along with a new black cape.
For some reason, this figure includes the cloak again even though he never wore it with the gold armor, and lacks the gold armor's appropriate cape.
