Yeah I don't get it either. Never have. Ever since 2012, Ben Mendelsohn has been typecast as this weaselly, generic throwaway villain in big blockbuster movies. Dark Knight Rises, Rogue One, Ready Player One, Robin Hood, Captain Marvel, it's the same guy.

That's a fair point, but from an Australian perspective, we've been seeing Ben Mendelsohn in different and varied roles for well over 20 years. I thought he really brought something extra to Rogue One that could have been phoned in by a stock Hollywood bad guy (Gary Oldman, say). The opening scenes are terrific because of him.

But I don't care for his costume, either.

Great news! I have the normal and specialist Deathtroopers and had been seeking the deluxe specialist but stopped due to the lack of news on a Krennic and also hearing about the poor pose-ability of the troopers. Now that Krennic is confirmed, is it still worth going after? Or would the 2 that I already have, each standing at his side be good enough and balanced?

I’d say having two flanking him is enough. My Vader is flanked by two stormies. Emperor by two Royal Guards. You could probably do something similar with Tarkin, so it should work just as well with Krennic and two DT’s. Anything more and it just becomes too much so less is more, IMO.

It’s their excuse to rerelease sold out figures that compliment new ones. Vader got rereleased with Tarkin. A Deathtrooper is the most logical companion figure for Krennic.

Finn got one as well back ahead of TFA. Yoda, TFA Han and Chewie. EDIT: Never mind, didn't realize you guys were talking about the video tease.

Yeah, HT rarely does video teases but they do exist. I'm pretty sure Marvel had one or two also. HT also does video teases sometimes in conjunction with newly acquired licenses. Didn't they do one for The Matrix long ago?

Tease like that are usually saved for something special it would seem, which makes Krennic a bit unusual... for such a recent character to get that kind of intro, there must be a lot more demand than we all realize.

I thought it was only a image from something on facebook since the link in the first post doesn't work for me. Sure enough, I think the video is a guarantee that he's coming. Looking forward to replacing my $10 Disney Store version!

Me too! It's been a half-decent stand-in for a Hot Toys version. I'm sure with a repaint, it would have looked even better (sculpt is actually very good) but it's time to upgrade.

Looking forward to replacing my $100 version hehe. $7 Disney clearance with Tarkin body and boots. Eventually use for another figure when the Director lands.
