There's really only a handful of characters that I'd pay for this kind of treatment.
The one I'm really curious how well they'd do would be Leia, since there's a lot of improvement they could do over their old release.

But so few people will get this figure, why would it have any impact on the earlier version? Maybe the price will go even higher because so many people like you are now seriously looking for one?

You'll probably only get that under one of two conditions

1. Person is able to secure this new version and is just trying to offload the old one quickly
2. HT announces a sculpted hair version of this same figure so the price of the original will plumet. However, at that point, you might as well get the new sculpted version with updated headsculpt an moveable eyes unless you really want the original figure instead.

Yeah.. even the old collectors, who really love star wars are hesitating. 1/6 are not popular as it were here.. means most are happy enough with V1

Maybe I should be content with anakin in his amputated form...

No it’s not owned by Justin. This board has a particular membership for sponsors that they have to pay for. So, TW payed to be a sponsor here, probably with the tears and money of a couple ppl’s orders who never got their figure that’s why they’re on the banner apparently.

Not much choice for these exclusive figures though sadly. Honestly wish they just did a sculpted Anakin too for people that miss out on this.

We’ll probably see the sculpted version as an ROTS Anniversary figure. Super easy money for HT to just plop the sculpted hair on this new sculpt and resell the figure all over again. If ppl knew it was for sure happening, I doubt there would be as much demand for this rooted version as their currently is.

It blows my mind that they don’t. That way instead of paying a scalper I could have an artist custom add hair. I am really not sure why they are doing this differently than the Joker given the demand.

I can't imagine they won't get to a sculpted version sooner than later...they'd be leaving a ton of money on the table...

Or the forced scarcity is a tactic to drum up talk and demand for the future realeases. Get everyone talking about new line, establish in minds that the rooted artisan line is very limited and desirable so that when the next couple PO's go up folk will be rushing to order, even if the production runs turn out to be over 10,000.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the response from InArt when the collecting community expressed their disapproval of locking the rooted, and most desired Joker figure behind a $1,000 paywall with such a short ordering window; they apologised, assured us they’d drop that approach moving forwards, and soon after were offering every possible combination with Battinson so collectors could pick and choose exactly what they wanted to own.

HT hears the masses desperately crying out to stop making very desirable figures limited exclusives and are just like-

They're not desirable at this price point. It looks great but not Weta workshop quarter scale figure or so price nice. At least not for me with this character. Expected price is what 5-600 USD? Actually laughable.

Now if they give this treatment to ESB Yoda/Vader with proper face mask sculpt, I'll eat my words of course.

I would say my limit may be around $400.
