This HB didn't really even do anything much apart fighting Black Dwarf and disposable army minions. It was just a clumsy heavily armored robot suit. It couldn't fly, didn't project any energy beams, it couldn't self upgrade or patch up with broken parts. If this suit went up against Hulk, it would be smashed to pieces. You can argue Banner doesn't have a system like Tony to operate it, but as a co-creator of the original HB, he should know some of the functions to play around with.

The original always looked cooler, but now that the functions of this suit is reduced to the most basic it can be, easy pass.. V.1 all the way.

I disagree that version 1 looked cooler. That look never grew on me. This one I like a lot more.

this HB showed Banner could win a fight without the Hulk which I thought was pretty cool.

Why he was in the suit : He couldn't change into the Hulk that's why he was in the suit to begin with. No explanation needed I thought....

I was inquiring why he had possession of it, not why he needed it. That was obvious. I don’t think we needed to see Banner fight without the Hulk. Banner is the brains and Hulk is the muscle.

my guess is that Stark had the components of it at the Avengers compound. I think Banner had them sent to Wakanda to assemble since we do see an arm behind him in the first trailer in a scene that didn’t make the movie.

I own the V1 but the love the pose that this V2 is in. I wish i could get that from my V1. Having said that, if I have an extra $430 lying around in over a year I might pick this up too. The second half of this movie will have already been out for months.

Why does this have to be V1 vs V2 for some people? Two different movies, two different armors, two different fights. It's ok to like one over the other or both or neither. I think it's great that people who couldn't or can't afford V1 can get a NICE but cheaper version2. Those who own V1, you have a FANTASTIC one and done masterpiece, enjoy it! Everyone getting V2, be happy HT is giving you this option, which is better than nothing at a decent price. Enjoy these pieces for what they are. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One man's trash is another man's treasure and so on....

I think this might be my approach too. Also love the pose this V2 is in !

:exactly::goodpost: It's really an oranges and apples comparison between the two.

Yeah, I don't know if they ever explained that. Seems like this would have been made around the same time HB1.0 was made - Otherwise, why is the tech so outdated compared to the Mark 50? Just seems like the Hulk would have ripped this thing apart in a matter of seconds

I agree. Didn't seem all that sturdy/powerful. Didn't really seem like it had any improved tech either, just a design change. It looked pretty banged up just from having Banner trip in it the first time it's shown.

It was mentioned in Homecoming and he was using the 47 at that time so the 50 was still on the drawing board. Also i would guess it was a quick slightly updated replacement for the destroyed MK44

Before the movie when we all thought hulk was going to bust out i was really hoping for something like this from hot toys but not gonna happen.
I might pick this up if i find one.
