As far as I remember, they solicited the PP and MMS at the same time. I currently have 3 PP figures.

This being a PP I think helps solidify the theory HT lost their ***** with the V1, delayed and over engineered with a price that didnt keep up with rising costs, I dont see them doing an MMS of this guy personally, which sucks cause this "pose" sucks
It’d go a long way in the better direction if the elbows bent and or rotated a little bit. Admittedly even though the v1 had articulated legs they aren’t really practical so I would be able to live with the static leg pose here. Though it needs a little more articulation up top to take it to a slightly better level. I know PPS and all but still....
Yeah, the main problem with the V1 is the "need" to have a $350 diecast figure stored in an $850 protective case... just stupid
if they did just a simple figure of either of these that could get into some half decent poses id be all over it, and the price would probably be more realistic, knowing this board though people would demand a hulk figure fit inside, so HT is avoiding the whole thing
How did they do it with the previous PP/MMS armor releases?
Not really. $500 market is very different than the $1000 market.
Ahh okay. I guess only time will tell then. Havent POd this one yet but if its the only one were getting, then Ill PO.
The power pose came out before the mms. But there’s a big difference in how those where done. They where partial tools to offset costs for the mms. This doesn’t really have that option if it’s vinyl.
Yes. I agree. We HB V1 owners must learn to realize not everyone can be so fortunate. Let Hot Toys take pity on those who could not attain such a glorious piece. May the crumbs thrown from the table that is the HB V2 PP figure partially satiate their envy and lust. I pray that it may appease their ravenous jealousy a little bit at least. Oh, I pray daily for those poor collectors' souls.
Spoken like a sheltered Hot Toys only collector who thinks a $1000 figure is high end and doesn't know that to statue collectors it's not that expensive and quite small in comparison. Maybe someone can post a picture of HB 1 next to the typical statue that shows it's not the giant monster it's owners think the is. I personally passed on the $1000 plastic figure not because I couldn't afford it but because I didn't like it enough..I am getting the Hush Superman which is a lot bigger and looks better to me.
I also collect statues. The hulkbuster is still huge. And I could make the same flippant comment about statue collectors if I where to use my art collection as a price comparison. Or my cameras. Or my cars. Heck my subwoofer for my home theater was like 4 grand. There’s always someone who has more expensive stuff. Doesn’t change that the hulkbuster was still an expensive, and large, action figure.
I have everything from tiny Transformers to life size statues (and to use some of Motuxmen's examples - camera gear and cars)... HB1.0 is huge and expensive. Yes, it's dwarfed by my life size statues and the purchase price wouldn't pay for a single bolt on one of my cars, but the fact that its size and price aren't as big as some other things doesn't stop it from being large and expensive. It's only large if someone only collects hot toys. I is someone collects 1/4 and larger statues Hulkbuster won't be the biggest thing in their collection. As a matter of fact it would be much smaller than 1/3 statues. My point is that poster was so smug about the size and cost of the figure it was clear he thinks only about small figures.. it's not super expensive or as large as he thinks it is.

Really like this look. Was hoping for some die cast to be used though. Oh well, I may jump on this.
Diecast? Naw they would have added 2% Diecast then add $200 to the price. Not a good trade off.
