:lol I was wondering if someone else would notice this. In the overall scheme and scale of the figure 95% (or more) of collectors won't see it. Not even close to a deal breaker for me.

I disagree about the Keaton likeness, though. That isKeaton under the HT mask for sure. As close as humanly possible for a 1:6 portrait at least. Thumb thru the official movie book if you've got it and compare with the idea that lighting plays a big part too.

Well, for the emblem... i have been doing Batman costuming since like 2003 so those things stand out. ;)

But for the likeness, it's just not quite him... esp. after seeing Joker, there is no reason not to get the right face lines and lip textures of Keaton... i am going to say that it could be the grainy, blurry pics causing this for now... but i do say his exposed face isn't big enough to the rest of the cowl.

Time will tell... i am not upset yet. :wave

At risk of being slammed, I agree with you. In terms of head sculpt it is off to me. Difficult to determine whether caused by the pics, cowl, lips etc. but it is lacking versus Nicholson's sculpt IMO. That said, it is still pretty good and I will buy based on theses pics. If it improves great and if it doesn't, I am ok as well.

Agreed that's where I stand as well

Does Keaton's face or cowl ever look consistent from shot to shot in the film? Of course not. I just sat here and looked through dozens of pictures and he looks different throughout. Sometimes the cowl hugs his face, other times it doesn't and sort of hangs on the sides. His expressions change from pouty, pissed off lips, to the neutral seen above. That little "yeah, come ____ with me" grin that Hot Toys sculpted is during the Axis Chemicals scene. The lighting is different, here and there.

I think what some of you want are full blown Keaton features and I think, if Hot Toys went that route and gave it the "distinctive" features like the lips and textures x10, we'd end up with a rough caricature of "Michael Keaton" dressed as Batman instead of Michael Keaton as Batman.

Obviously that's a stretch (pun intended) but you guys know what I mean. I think what Hot Toys did here was subtlety capture his mouth. With features like Keaton's, you actually could go TOO over the top in how distinct you made it. Me? I recognized who it was instantly.

Maybe less over exposed pics of the mouth (there's tons of white light on these) and better pics in general (not scanned, grainy, shots that are watermarked) will make you guys change your mind.

If not, oh well. As the old saying goes, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all of the time. As first impressions go, I'm pleased. They captured Keaton as Batman to me and that's all I really care about. The only thing I wish they could have done was given him a FOURTH face that captured his "I'm ____ing pissed" expression but whatever, I've gotten more than what I dreamed of with this thing. Also, lets be honest, it puts every last custom that came before it to utter shame.

Nam why did you post a pic of your stomach on here? l knew you were weird.

Anyway l am very impressed with this figure. I don't really care for Hot Toys, but l think l may get this. No one is even fighting over little issues, l think that is because they pretty much nailed this one.

DiFabio and I must be on the same page here because that's what I was thinking too. Although many of the customs are recognizeable as Keaton the facial features, lips especially, were slightly exaggerated. HT's is spot on and not exaggerated at all.

Also agree about the fourth mouthpiece. I would love to see them do the look Keaton had as he backhanded the thug from around the corner when he was in Axis.

Calling out Nam with an obvious spelling error......This will not end well:lol

:huh Nobody's whining about this figure. I haven't read of anybody saying it's crap. Just discussing what they think might make it more accurate in their eyes. Pretty civil in fact...until now.
