Is the orange on BB8 brighter this time around? Or is it the same as the Rey set?

I forget, did the first one have that thumbs up lighter?

Agreed. I put batteries in all my figs once just to make sure they work. Take a few pictures. Then out they come. I don't need a battery leaking and wrecking something. I did come across this (https://www.collectorverse.com/revi...gurine-and-toys-battery-substitutional-device) that lets you wire up DC power in place of batteries. Seems kinda expensive and something like my Iron Man fig takes so many batteries in many different spots it would look super silly. Lighted figs look super cool but I'm perfectly happy just displaying mine in a lighted Ikea Detolf.

Yeah, I don't really need light up features - I figure, the amount of time I'm going to have them lit up is so small anyway, to have to take the battery in and out....no thanks. Cabinet lights are good enough for me.

I like BB-9E's look but I'm glad I opted for just the individual BB-8 having seen the film.

How much different is this BB-8 compared to the one that's in the Rey set? Sorry if this has been discussed but I don't come in these threads often.

As far as i know, different (enough) weathering and a "thumb up" arm so you can reenact that Falcon seen from TFA.

I'm just glad 9E actually did something. Makes my order feel a little more justified even in all honesty I'd had bought him even if he didn't show up at all.

I watched TFA the other day the darker orange appeared to be accurate, at least according to the scene where he meets Rey.

Interested to see production piece on these, I wanna know of that orange changes at all.
Mind you, even if it does come out more vibrant I can’t see me swapping out the one that came with Rey.
