This is an entire rubber body? Or just a rubber suit on an HT body?

Thats what I'm trying to find out, no one seems to know? I read it as it's a new body, no suit, just a muscle like rubber body with a cape and head/hands/feet on it. Oh and the belt. It would certainly seem simpler then a suit over a muscle body but I still fear detioration. Look how unarticulated the legs are in every pic.

Yikes, I don't want to jump the gun on that but that would put doubts in my head for this one.

I have plenty of things that are far older then 10 years. If I'm going to spend $300 on a toy doll it needs to last as long as I do. Theres no reason it should not.

It's not food, or alchohol, where there is an understanding I'm just going to eat it and the money is gone. I'm paying for something to look at so you better believe I want it to last.

If you've accepted that they only have a 10 year shelf life and that's ok, feel free to send me everything you own older then that.

question is...will it last?? remember the Hot Toys Rambo? apparently his rubber bod is breaking apart...Rubber does deteriorate in time (like rubber bands in the old Mego's)...the figure is a masterpiece! but for how long???

"Newly developed Batman body with 30 points of articulation"

This could mean the same as Barney ross, a Basic body materials with additional materials sculpting.

I dunno, the would mention detailed batman costume too though?

Rubber period, be it the suit, the body, makes it an easy pass no matter how incredible it looks.

Look at all the other HT Rubber threads, its ********.

This company is 15 years old, wouldn't it be nice to be able to have the original figures still in good condition displayed next to their latest releases, instead of just going, oh its 10 years old, time to sell it before it falls apart. :dunno

Hot Toys themselves just said this month, in the MILK magazine interview, they are trying to develop a rubber body that won't fall apart in 10 years. They know its a problem, again I really doubt this is that new body less then a week later that they know won't fall apart. Which says to me, they know this thing has a shelf life. No thanks.

Go look at the Back to the Future thread in the General section and read it for yourself.

Do you have a link to that article? I'd like to give it a read :lecture

Hey guys,
I came across the magazine today. The August edition of MILK magazine.
Whipped out the blackberry, took a picture.

My chinese is not really good either. Only good enough to read a menu and order food. But what i made from it, was GOX was APPROX. saying:

Like me, I think everyone grew up with Back to the Future. If i was able to make products of every character, what a miraculous thing that would be.

There was another part i took a closer pic of. They asked the group why didn't Arnie Kim come to the show??? JC Hong basically dabbled a little bit on the new Bruce Lee body hoping they can make one that wont deteriorate in 10 years, and said Arnie has a lot of work on his plate and hes working on a new Bruce Lee head (which should be for their Rubber Body Bruce).

from the bttf thread.

Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you sit this next one out, stop talking for a while.

but with these not scheduled to be out until March 2012, i think there's plenty of time to get the new type of rubber body developed

We should be cautious after the DX Batman and Comedian debacles (even though my two DCD DX Batman figure have yet to leak, at all) but it's still too early to tell if this will be a leaker or not.

Personally, if it's going to leak I want to find out for myself. I'm not going to not order one out of fear of it possibly leaking. There's a chance it may not. The body texture certainly looks like the Arnold/Wolverine/Royce/Dastan/Barney bodies. In fact, it looks even harder than those. Certainly not the flimsy looking stuff we saw with the DX TDK and Toy Fairs Begins specs/pics.

I guess only time will tell. I'm willing to find out.
