It's a mildly updated Bale Batman. For most collectors this is a great opportunity to grab the interpretation of the character; this was never advertised as anything else. The negativity is just going to swell from the folks who stroke themselves to sleep at the thought of the Nolan films.

You could also wait for a non-existent Queen Studios product that may never reach a fraction of a prototype. Or maybe even praise a low quality jpeg as the second coming when they post that they'll make Bale at some point.

So you’re going to sleep for a while?

Hopefully not for more than a decade.

Here’s one thing I never understood when Hot Toys upped their game for the TDK suit Batman. Why did they go through all the trouble of making a separate paneled suit, but stop with the neck and elbows? Always thought it was odd how they used plain old plastic instead of making it like the rest of the body. That plastic seam is hideous to this day, especially with that Q-Tip head.

What I can't understand is people talking about Queen Studios as if they've proven they're better than Hot Toys. They haven't even released a single 1/6 scale figure yet.

With that said, it's a shame the cowl heads eyes appear too large like the last few iterations Hot Toys have done, and also it also appears the unmasked head is a tweaked 1/4 downscale, at least from some of the images.

At least it looks a lot like that KO 1/6 version of the 1/4 scale figure:

I dunno, as this is the first Bale Batman I’ve been able to buy new since getting into the hobby, I think this is a solid figure. He’ll pair nicely with the InArt Joker and my Hot Toys Bane.

I guess I agree it’s not perfect, but I’m also one of those people who’d like to see real world pics and reviews too, first, before making too many conclusions. Like, to me, the headsculpt just seen from this angle in this light looks better than I thought.

Dx19 on the left vs Dx12 on the right

IMO it’s a huge improvement compared to DX 12 , though subtle.

1. The body is much more rigid , bigger chest and nicer overall look.

2. The bat head is bigger and have longer horns.

3. The chest plate looks more like transparent carbon fiber than some cheap plastic

4. Cape is much much better, almost like the custom ones.

5. Head sculpt improved. ( opinions may vary, as the new sculpt is more like batman begin/ young bale.)
Only downside is the bat diaper is a little too big but overall it’s much more screen accurate than dx12.

Thanks Asta. Looks pretty damn good to me !! Chest looks more muscular and fuller giving it a better aethetic imo.

Did they actually get rid of that ridiculous duck lips faceplate ?

For those people complaining about his height, this is actually a massive improvement. The last Dark Knight figure looked totally undersized next to every other figure outside of the DK trilogy line, like a different scale. At least now it can sit next to other figures and not look out of place.

Those Jaxon shoulder pads are sick! Would love those on the dx19

Looks like Jaxon will be making Cape + shoulders for Dx19 according to ig

I'm satisfied overall and looking forward to getting mine. I suppose it just feels slightly underwhelming when you see how other companies are innovating where Hot Toys stand still.

Is it better than previous versions? Absolutely. Is it as big a jump in quality as you'd expect nearly a decade later? Probably not.

This town deserves a better class of shoulder pad, and I’m gonna give it to ‘em.

I’ve been planning a two plate shoulder pad solution for a while just been waiting for this to drop first to see if they were going to change them up last minute. They’ll basically work just like the 1/4 version. I’ll start the design work now and hopefully have prototypes around the time the Sideshow orders start shipping.

Looking great. Glad they are making it bigger IMO. Hopefully, they do the same with the Begins one and Selina.

Where can I get a good cape for this figure? Something that does not cost as much as the figure itself, please.

I’m going to make my drape capes available again at $30 shipped in the US but only after I get the figure. Hopefully that will be this week and I can tailor it to the exact length I want. I also only plan to sell ones that are already made and ready to go so they may be in short supply initially.

Thank you for replying. Can you send me a link when you do?

Is it hard to replace shoulder pads? I don't want to damage the stock pads
