When I heard the name Elite Praetorian Guard I got excited. I'm a big fan of Roman military history. Praetorians were like the special forces unit but they mainly protected leaders or magistrates. They kept that red color like the royal guards and their armor resembles a little bit of the roman soldiers. Pretty neat in my opinion but I don't know if my wallet can handle more lol

I think Keanu Reeves performance in that movie was also, but more creepy than cool.

If they weren't different enough from the royal guard design there would be complaints of rehashed design. I personally like the updated take of the Praetorian Guards. Yes they are very red but I assume there's a valid reason for that as well as the design itself. Isn't it meant to be inspired by Samurai aesthetics?

People will complain no matter what lol. Personally, I think they look awesome and I can't wait to see them in the movie.

These aren't new, they're piss poor derivatives of IG. If they're going for new, go for new, not half *** *******ized versions. Kind of like adding Storm trooper teeth to N.O troopers, just admit you have a **** design and move on.

It is what it is nowadays. If I don't like a figure, I won't trash it on the board as I have better things to do in life. There are people that will hate on the new movies and figures no matter what. There isn't a better time to be a SW fan than now with new movies and toys coming out every year. Well, except that you will spend a lot of money, all is good.

This thread needs more posts like these instead of slinging poop at opinions that differ from yours. The purpose of this thread is first and foremost to inform people that might be interested that this product is coming some time, and secondly to discuss it. Obviously that means some people will like it and others won't, but it's not meant to be used to vent your feelings of "They made things that are new. I don't like new things. Old things were better" over and over ad nauseam.
Respect the people that like this figure if you don't. If you do like it, tolerate the comments from the people that don't. Tell you what, there are even weirdos like me that love the original Royal Guard design but also can appreciate this one for what novelty it brings to the table and like this new design too. Be a bit more tolerant, this is usually a very nice community to find information and advice in, and it's sad that recent threads like this one and the Executioner Trooper have been showing the bad side of some folks on this matter.
TL;DR : Play nice. If you don't like this figure, it's fine. Say so and then don't bash others who do like it.
That's cool. You don't have to agree with my opinions, but at least I'm being positive instead of bashing everything new just because it's the trending hate train. You guys are welcome to hate any design you want, I just don't see the point in crying about it in every thread endlessly. There's literally no reason to go to the thread if you don't have anything positive to say. But I guess you have nothing better to do with your time lol. I bet you folks hate millennial too.
You all feel free to continue trashing every new figure and talking about how amazing the prequels were and how the sequels are Disney feminist garbage or whatever it is. You totally make these forums a fun place to be
