Agreed.

There's a post in the Forum Questions section about the Reviews section. Seems like mods should move all these review threads to that section. . . .or just, y'know, not start a new thread.

Just to play devil's advocate then, why is it ok for Michael Crawford, Optibotimus, or Budget Stark allowed to make a brand new thread whenever they post a review or get a scoop?

It's not.

It's not.

Bingo!

Still don't get why those few guys don't follow the board guidelines and post in the official threads? If someone needs help and can't find the answer in a thread or searches for info and can't find it... then yeah, a new thread is justified. No real reason at all for making a new thread. Surprised the mods don't merge them honestly or inform them to stop.

Well, for one, MWC has been doing it that way for years and years, so I think he kind of established a 'precedent'.

As far as I can tell, the mods are pretty hands off, unless it involves porn or bootlegs. I used to report threads where there was an existing discussion thread, providing a link in the message, but it got to the point where I felt like I was nagging, so I just stopped.

I believe Optibotimus and MWC have permission and/or were requested by Dave to have their own threads for their reviews. I remember when Optibotimus was questioned by board members when he first became a member, and it came to light that some reviewers are given that permission from the big man.

Hello Everyone, Im sorry, Im just now seeing everyones comments here. Before I started posting reviews I actually reached out to the sites Admin and asked where I would be allowed to post my reviews and he instructed me to post them into the 'General Collectibles - Action Figures" section. I also asked him if Im allowed to start a new thread for my reviews instead of posting them into existing threads and he said "yes" - So Im just following what the admins are saying I'm allowed to do. If that changes I will abide by any and all rules. As most of you are aware the dedicated "Collectible Reviews" section is closed to the public at the moment and hasn't been updated in a couple years. I do however agree with most of you that a designated "Reviews" section would certainly be nice to have!

Thanks again for your comments :)
