Hot Toys is set to unleash an electrifying lineup of must-have MARVEL collectibles this summer, and the first to arrive is a true showstopper - the diecast 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark VII (Black and Gold version) collectible figure, adorned in a gleaming chrome finish

My favorite color scheme, I'm pretty excited for this one, I know others aren't though.

Lineup of must have marvel collectibles…..who else besides ironman can they do basic “repaints” and slap on whatever label these will fall under

They ran out of 2.0 to do and he’s dead in the MCU so I guess we get a 4th recolor of the Mark 7. :lol

I kinda like it. at this point I would rather a silly Iron Man repaint over anything from the past few MCU films
Yeah, there's not been much of anything beyond No Way Home that got my Marvel interest going... I am surprised there hasn't been an OG Avengers Thor in artisan format teased yet. Black Widow artisan? There are some options to revisit that I think would sell better than another Iron Man paint variant. I like the look of this but certainly not enough to drop the cash for it.

The vulture would be great!

Hot Toys, please define the term "showstopper". This... is not that.

Welcome to the summer of Iron Man!
Full House Party Protocol in die-cast format?

Nah, let's just stick to made-up repaints. Might want to throw a little hot-rod red in their next time, J.C. :ROFLMAO:

I would love the rest of the house party protocol. even if just museum pose statues at cheap price point so long as they are 1:6 and look good in a hall of armour.
I wonder if you could get high resolution 3D prints and paint them up? Not sure about your art skills, but might be an option if you're into that sort of thing. 3D printers are pretty cheap now and there are automotive paints that would pass for any iron man color...

I got a resin printer but my painting skills are... sub par, so the thought of colour printing is exciting. But even mono resin printer would be amazing if it used the industrial grade support like the multi material resin printers do. Consumer version of that would elimitate so much cleanup and finishing work (no cuting supports and sanding the nubs they leave behind) not to mention less work setting up the print and supports in the slicer software. Colour resin printing at home would be a game changer but just the industrial style support material would make things 10 times easier.

Basically I can already print Iron Man statues but do not bother as I would not be able to paint em right.

If you can print them, you can paint them, I believe in you! :) Seriously though, if you get a decent airbrush and learn to use masking fluid, you could knock out most of the painting that way. Leave the fine brush detail for just the finishing and you won't drive yourself crazy. My painting skills are pretty good, but at life size scale, so I do wonder how well I'd fare at 1/6 scale...

Ok my only thing is they are saying they are going to release marvel must haves this summer. I'm wondering what that means. Are we talking Strictly MCU stuff, More iron man stuff nobody asked for or are we going outside the box and actually doing stuff people asked for and anticipated?
That's my only thing lol
