I saw that before (I never liked the undersuit idea for this) thats what Jon was talking about? that ending sucks so much... its far worse, what the hell :pfft:

Iron Whiplash rules
Yeah... somehow they managed to make Whiplash make himself even more vulnerable than taking off his helmet so either IM or WM could blow his head off (and the bro hi-five attack... ugh).

Looking at the design of this figure, it is a shame that it wasn't featured more prominently in the movie. Glad IM is enough of a cash cow that HT decided to make it, though (and that the artists responsible did such a great job). Most franchises wouldn't be popular enough for HT to invest this much time and effort into for a character that had a couple minutes of screen time.

Re: Possible Iron Whiplash?

Pretty similar to me except I don't have the Milk & Mk.IV. Are you getting Killian if HT make him?

I totally agree with your point (why did he fought unmasked???)

But IMO it (The unmasked but with helmet HS) is a gimmick we are expected to see with most IM figures (Except for the WM: Milk & MK2). I dont own the first Whiplash, so i do want it to have such thing / although it didn't look like that in the movie :lol

isnt this HS technically inaccurate? cause his helmet folded all the way down into the suit

I agree with recent comments. Watched IM2 again yesterday and the final fight in his Iron Whiplash suit was pathetic. Kind of diminishes my want of this, but I'll probably still get it purely on aesthetics.

Exactly, there are ways to make a villian more intresting without the need of too much screentime, the final battle against Killian in IM3 was perfect IMHO, but then a realised it only last 2 minutes

It has a greenish color? I wanted it to be completely grey/silver

The camera's flash distorts the colors. But there is a little yellow/greenish on the silver.. the rusty/dirty look i suppose.

Not the biggest Iron Man fan, but there's no way I'll be missing this. My IM collection will be limited to this, MILK War Machine, Iron Monger and a v2 Mark IV. The design on this couldn't be better, IMO. Just love it and it works whether you like the movie or are just looking for something that could be from the comics.

Personally, I'm hoping for no Rourke sculpt to keep the costs down and because there's no chance I'd ever display it. The scene where IW lands and then drops his mask like an imbecile so IM or WM can blow his head off is one of the worst in all comic book moviedom, IMO.
What v2 Mark IV are you talking about?

And IW folds his helmet down twice during the final battle. The second time is when he thinks he has IM and WM helpless. Lack of experience, I would say.

Iron Whiplash took off his helmet when he had Tony and Rhodet by the necks with his whips. That is when Tony and Rhodey used their "double repulsor blast" on him. That is about the only reason I would get this fig; to reinact that scene.
'Bropulsor blast' :D

Wow, it looks like they articulated the feet flaps he uses to pin down WM :rock
Nice :yess:

Actually yes, there was an alternate ending to IM2. Unforunately, it doesn't include this version of Whiplash. It actually takes out the need for it completely. Interesting to see Tony's under suit though.

They could've integrated this scene with the actual one and have Vanko chase them with the suit on and have some mid-air action. Also, this alternate ending shows the 'parked' mode of the suit.

Over-saturated due to flash or it is a bit similar to the Mk I.

Yeah, same. Have no love for IM2, but this design is brilliant. I'm just going to pretend that this is comics IW.

There's rumours HT will be making a diecast version of the Mark IV at some point in the future.

In regards to the final battle, how could IW think IM and WM were helpless when they still had access to their repulsors? Wouldn't take much power to take someone down with a headshot, nevermind the overkill used in the 'bropulsor' attack. :p I just felt it was anti-climatic considering the build-up throughout the movie with Rourke. But anyway, I'll focus on the figure from here on out. Bring on that pre-order SSC!

Don't know if anyone answered it yet but talked to one of the product production guys from sideshow and yes this whiplash will be diecast, seems all the new lines coming out right now are mostly gonna be diecast. As for price he says it most most likely be in the $325+ range because of the size and diecast. And yes, the whips are most likely to light up he says but cant confirm just yet. Again there are guesses, but guesses from someone who seems to be in the know. take from it what you will just sharing the love.

I doubt anyone at any con from SSC would either have accurate info or give accurate info. SSC reps probably know very little regarding the production of HT.

First, the labels on all the confirmed Diecast figures say diecast.

The confirmed regular plastic MMS figures don't say diecast. So when a figure not released or put up for PO is shown without a diecast label, its probably a safe assumption that its not diecast.

Plus, with Heartbreaker not being diecast when it was originally announced as diecast, I wouldn't be surprised if they shy away from diecast completely.

Also, this has way too much detail to be diecast. And I think it was stated so in an article a few months ago.

Of course, this is all my opinion.

No, I'd agree with all that, mikericm. I noticed that, too, about the Heartbreaker being non-diecast when it was initially announced as diecast. Hope this does mean that HT is not totally committed to diecast and maybe drops it altogether. I don't hate diecast and it's not a dealbreaker if it's used but I don't think it adds anything of value to these figures.

So is the STBD (Still to be determined) below the name referring to price, material or the MMS#?

If they do decide to go diecast, that thing is going to weigh a ton.

Yeah you could be right on that because this is a HT item not a SS item, I was just saying what he was telling me but I do agree for being that detailed it might not be diecast but I guess time will only tell. but I do think for price it will easily be $300+ either way.

Oh yea. I think if its Plastic, at least $300 maybe $350. He's larger than most marks. If he is somehow diecast, easily over $400.
