This is a great figure. I hope it wont come in that stupid stand its currently placed on. Way too small for it...

Never noticed but willing to bet that it either comes with no stand, like Iron Monger, or will come with a diorama type piece, like Mark VII BD. Personally I don't like stands with gigantic releases like Monger or Hulk, so hope they avoid it.

Sorry to be OT, but I agree. Though I know it's bad, IM2 is one of my guilty pleasures and I blame that scene.

I hated IM2 when I first saw it, and had no desire to watch it again. After Iron Man 3 I decided to give it another shot and see if the 3 years changed my mind. It did. I enjoyed it a lot more. Could it have been better? Sure, but I had a lot of fun. I will admit, that I felt they had a really great story in there that I don't feel they did as much with as they could. The Tony Vs. US Government. I wish that had been the main focus of the film. I enjoyed whiplash, but he was pretty much a non-factor. I think it would have been awesome to see the US declare War on Tony Stark to get him to give up his technology.

Damn, never thought about it but that was what I initially liked about the film from the teasers (US v Tony Stark). Now that you mention it, it would've made for a killer story.

That definitely could have been cool, and lent more to justin hammer attacking stark, then resorting to Whiplash when he failed

I'm a bit Iron Man'ed out, and have little interest in collecting the villains from it anyway, but I have to say that is one freaking good looking figure. :thud:

Great point. May be they can give a base like we got with godfather, brucelee etc. that gives a nice platform. What worried me was seeing it mounted on that plastic stand which is way too tiny.

I think i would buy it even if it was not in any iron man movie or even remotely associated with "nothing" . That is a piece of art right there...

Actually, since you brought up those initial teasers, that's exactly why I remembered being disappointed because I was hoping for that story. I did like the Justin Hammer aspect of it too, and that could have played an even bigger part of it.

Oh, what could have been. I still enjoyed the film we got.

Where is this???:gah:

:impatient:
I know. I'm OK being fairly patient, since I have a lot on pre-order (by my metrics), but holy hell, has there ever been a figure that HT has previewed/teased for this long? Makes me wonder if they're having trouble figuring out the logistics or what. But then this doesn't seem more complex than some of their other releases, so I don't know.

There's a entire back log of figures that they have teased and not announced yet. Kinda the whole reason for people *****ing at HT for constantly putting out figures like Broke Back Tony instead of other figures that should have been announced by now.

My annoyance with them taking so long to announce these figures is that the longer it takes, the higher the price tag will be. Had this been out when the Mark VI came out, this could have been at the $200-$300 range but now I see it being close to $500. :slap
