I actually think both sculpts have their pros and cons. The older one has that exotic quality that Gadot has that the new one is completely missing, the features on the new one look more American (no hate, saying that as an American myself). However it looks so much more real. I honestly think the only thing that kills the first sculpt is the lack of expression. A simple furrowed brow would have done it; that blank stare is the trouble.

But it’s odd considering the training armor captures both sides yet it’s the same sculpt. I guess the repaint they mentioned changed that? Or perhaps the sculpted hair.

I can see how the BvS sculpt does indeed have a bit more of an exotic look:

Yeah...more I look at this figure and its ACTUAL likeness to Gal Gadot...(BvS version looked good but was an alternate universe version where someone else played the part) the more I feel that Hot Toys should take the unprecedented step of actually recalling that version...I thought it was ok too until I saw this one, but come on...lets keep it real...

Don't see GG in this. Looks like a generic pretty female, or stunt double. Even the shape of her face is wrong...Square jaw? Where is GG's heart-shaped face???
As a former Israeli, saw many movies with GG, and if someone showed me just the face, without the WW outfit and all, would have not guessed it was her.

Totally agree. A more attractive sculpt than BVS version IMO but I'm not seeing the night and day improvement that many see.

It was nearly a unanimous consensus that the TA sculpt is nearly a spot on portrait in comparison to the BvS sculpt, but when you take the exact same TA sculpt and put rooted hair on it, people think it's only a minor improvement over BvS. So go figure.

People see what they want to see, I suppose.

Regardless of the hair which I'm sure is just a matter of futzing, the likeness is spot on given it's the TA sculpt.

This is just one of those rare times I'm not seeing what the majority sees. I totally think people should order this excellent figure, I'm just thinking I probably won't having the BVS version.

Being that I'm going to be using this as a solo WW representation and therefore, posing it next to the TA figure, I like that it's exactly the same sculpt so that way there's consistency.
