My point is the original trilogy had lots of problems and some people chose to ignore them. Those people will quickly become the minority as they get older and die off while millions of new fans emerge. That means all of these movies will eventually be judged as they are without the the middle aged rose tinted glasses wearers who saw the movies as kids in the 1970s. The later movies will get the credit they deserve and the problems the older ones have will not be overlooked. Basically the newer movies will age better because for the most part they are better put together films with the proper epic scale on display. No crappy attack on the death star where only 3 or 4 ships are visible on screen at a time like ANH.

Amazing what difference a few decades of evolving film and cinematrography and an actual budget can do. Everybody knows a lot of the action sequences in older films are hokey as ****. Thats how it was back then. Everything is fast and colofrul and fluid now and thats fine. A New Hope gets special treatment because its the OG star wars movie. Nobody had done what a new hope did before a new hope. Most of us wouldnt be in this forum (including all tireless episode 8 dramaqueens and prequel trilogy apologists) wouldnt be here if it wasnt for that old, shoe string budgeted, hokey *** movie that was Star Wars (episode 4). Most of us werent even around to be blown away by that movie in theaters, so have some damn respect. That **** is legendary and will transcend for many more decades.

Agreed!

He's probably a Lucas hater who loves SW. Disney lover perhaps?

Now that's a twist! Hahaha!

The silver siren of death has arrived....

CAPT. PHASMA-004.jpg

She's tall, she's shiny and tough to pose. The cape is AWFUL. Wrinkled as heck...it'll take some extra futzing to get it looking good. And what is the deal with those CHEAP fragile plastic snaps? Give us durable metal ones HT...c'mon a little snap can't break the budget on these figures!

Phasma is an impressive sight...eye-catching and overwhelming presence on display, It will be fun taking shots of her playing with light.

While there has been a good push with this character with media (a book, a comic, plenty of exposure in trailers and ads), she just hasn't caught on.
Her appearances in both films so far has been kind of underwhelming (although I really dig that final look at her in TLJ- very cool and intense).

As it is, I'll enjoy the figure....despite the fact it can't really be posed in any extreme way - the undersuit and armor are just too restrictive.

Thanks for the review jedibear. Phasma is one cool trooper that I still want but just haven't pulled the trigger. She was very underplayed in both TFA and TLJ which is very disappointing. She looks great but just cannot get myself to buy.

The TFA Phasma went down fairly cheap, hit about $150 so I'll be waiting patiently for this one to do the same. Definitely looks shiner than the first at least in pics.

Couldn't tell you- came out of the box that way.

Looks fine to me...starting to really enjoy this figure now-it's a challenging to take pics of considering her shiny, distinctive look.

What will be the need to get the TLJ version..I can only think they do a BD helmet maybe the staff she used :dunno

Great pics jedibear! Yeah she can be hard to photograph with the armor being so reflective. I try not to show myself in the reflection when taking pictures.

I know her shin armor is different in TLJ. Along with the cleaner paint job, spear, and pistol. Enough there for a new figure, if Hot Toys is willing to make her again.

Hey guys Im having a hard time with my Captain Phasma and getting the right pose. I cant seem to get bother her feet to touch the ground flat with the stand it comes with. Anyone else having this issue or any suggestions?
