Great news:

Im canceling my Cap PO

No just kidding, but im really cancelling this figure.
I know i would regret letting go of this cap, but after reading tons of The Avengers material in magazines and websites, i finally decided to just wait for an avengers cap.

I still think Cap TFA is an awesome badass figure and is very much a contender for FOTY, but something about the orange and the three red stripes in the avengers cap mesmerizes me..plus i personally prefer the simple sleek look of it.

For now i'll just be content with a Mk IV, and possibly Thor if i get the chance to go back to that hobby store i first saw him recently. (Thor really blew me away when i saw him personally)

I very much hope a fellow freak on waitlist will get my slot

Does anyone know if there is anything you can apply to the shield that will dull down the shine? I don't know why they did it that way, even in the first shots, the shield is never that shiny.

It's too bad the Mark II or the grey on the Mark V wasn't the same finish

Theres a possibilitity based on this film that I may buy the likes of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hulk....despite not having been a fan of those superheroes prior to this movie...I'll see. All these guys would make a damned good display. Just the 1/6 line and from this particular film (Joss Whedon's The Avengers) rather than the existing figures from their own movies so far, great though they may be.

Any nitpicks I may have (not loving the headsculpt, don't dislike it though) are blown away by how awesome everything is. So many of the little things look fantastic, like the glove and boots.
