This figure is frakking sick!!!!!! I mean, its damn near perfection. Only reason I passed: hoping for the Sith Darth Vader version of this guy.

For $220 plus, Hot toys should have given us two heads: normal and Sith.

Who is the woman that hosts these? She seems cool and all, but doesn't take it as seriously as I'd care to see. I mean, toys is serious business...lol

As usual, I Am Toys, your pictures save the day and quell any doubts about the sculpt. Sculpt looks great in your photos; much closer to what the proto advertised. Do post more if you'd like.

Jesus christ the more I see of that robe the more I see how how awful it is. Someone needs to get on a custom asap lol, and preferably some company that does unlicensed stuff in China so it can be cheap and mass produced hahaha.

HT pulled a "Leia dress" on that robe.

Custom project is the best option as the material will be superior to Hasbro/old Sideshow. Sounds like there's an easy group of 30-40 people that would join in.

Are there any major differences between Anakin's and Obi-Wan's cloaks? If not, I wonder if you could just use the ANH Obi-Wan cloak on this? I recall someone saying earlier that the material of the Obi-Wan cloak is much better than the material they used for this one.

Regardless, I'm glad I plan on having him displayed without the cloak anyway.

Different shades of brown, the cut is different on the hood, and Ben’s cloak is frayed.

I don't have Obi-Wan, but the only thing I could think of is his robe is a bit frayed on the outsides. Though, that wouldn't be super hard to customize to make it a bit neater for Anakin.

Ah yes. Faststreetsofhongkong actually posted the two figures side by side on page 233 to compare the cloaks. I forgot Obi's has that pointed tip on his hood that sort of gives it a gnome look. Anakin's I don't think has that.

The slight shade difference and the frayed look wouldn't bother me though, if there were no other options. The material on the Obi-Wan cloak does look better.

It's looking like most folks are thinking the robe is a near miss. Gotta agree...seems a little short and rapes oddly. Hopefully it's mostly a futzing issue, but most of the in-hand shots are showing it and drapes little short.

With everything else on the figure looking so good, it's all drapes bit of a surprise coming from HT.

Regardless, don't expect him for at least another month from Sideshow.
