I think the HT looks more accurate... and less shocked.

Ok i just watched the matrix real quick for reference and ht of course messed up. The scorpions really are undersized, the barrels are too short and due the big hands i think they just look overall too small in 1/6th scale. Also the boots were not that shiny. Ht has them standing out too much to the rest of the outfit. They were a rubber boots, with leather straps, metal tips and not a leather boot like ht has them. I just watched the keyboard warriors review of this figure and they too think the body looks weird when the coat is off. The body has his pecs sit kinda in the mid stomach area, instead of up higher on his chest. It also make his neck look too long when his coat is off. All that aside it is a very good figure for what it is. Not sure when i will be able to get it though.

I find Headsculpt Hot Toys superior to all Neo heads that have already been released, the Iminime head is good but it definitely does not work without the glasses, much because of its strange eyes. Ja the HT version is great with and without the glasses and the head passes more realism and "life". (IMO)
Some shots I took of the Iminime head on the HT body. I’m torn on which head I like more.

Here is the body swap I did.
Suppose I'd vote for the Hot Toys head aswell, even imperfect as it too is.
I would be happy with either sculpt. Both look good.
Cannot believe this figure has a fat suit, wtf Ht! Are they really never going to do new bodies and just keep using these generic ones with padding? Ridiculous. I love that body swap but that's just too much work for someone like me.

After seeing those shots that I Am Toys posted I'm even more excited for the figure. He looks fantastic when hes lit right, and 7 or 8/10 for me with flat lighting. Even though its not perfect, it's still not often Hot Toys really nails a likeness spot on in my eyes outside of a small minority of sculpts. The top likeness for me is Jack Sparrow.
I'm just glad he didn't end up like either of the Marty Mcfly's. The prototype McFly for BTTF1 was outstanding and when I got him in hand it looked like he was looking into the Dead Lights with a cold or something. BTTF2 just got super cartoony and bad all the way around imo.
The biggest gripes for me with Neo is that the sunglasses stand out to be too large/thick, and his face looks a little odd with the sunglasses off. So either look is a bit off in one way or another. Still came out much better than I was expecting and I can't wait to photograph him.

This doesn't look to me like a fat suit, but more just a thin extra layer to help smooth out the torso and hide the joints.

Is it my imagination or does the stitching look a bit shoddy on the shirt collar and jacket lapels? Maybe it’s just showing on those high res pics.

That's what I thought as well like it's a figure from 10 years ago or something.
Overall though, we might just be too picky.
