Well, at least HT didn't just re-use the ROTS portrait. The sunken eyes are kinda creepy. The outfit recalls the animated shorts really well, but....

That damned Kenobi show has just soured me on him at this point. Have fun for those who've been waiting for this...I'll stick with the movie versions.

Looks amazing aside from the weird mouth on the head sculpt. Did they use the obi wan show head as a base for this? Why do they keep doing this??

Instead they reused the Obi-wan D+ headsculpt! this is what I get for making fun of it today.

Though honestly it does look better here than on that figure for some reason.

In any case... this is a must buy for me here!

oh wow! this is absolutely bought! sculpt looks better than OWK series headsculpt and a nice change from the ROTS to give a little different look.

Will definitely buy an additional headsculpt for the ROTS figure. Definitely worth the wait, especially considering I wasn't originally interested in the first prototype

Ah well that explains the delay. They were actually giving him a brand new sculpt.

Think I might grab the Clone Wars Anakin then. Skipped on him since they were taking forever with this.

Also, pretty interesting that the stand's nameplate on this release looks like the original, engraved real metal nameplate like they used on the ROTS and Old Ben figures, instead of the stickers they've been using on more recent releases.

I think I like the rots/prototype head sculpt way better. This one looks off. I’m a sucker though so I’m definitely in. Hopefully it improves when released. I’m happy, would have been a weird clone wars shelf without him.

Looks off because they're using the alien Obi-Wan show version as a base for this. The awkward open mouth on this doesnt help either.

I’m honestly a little in disbelief because I just put together the parts to make a custom version just several days ago.

I intended it to be a placeholder with hopes that Hot Toys would still do one. Well, guess it’s a very temporary placeholder.

Maybe I should go try to put together a custom Bespin or Endor Han next so everyone can get one?

That said, they used animated Clone parts for this figure instead of realistic so… I guess I can use the parts I acquired to make a fully realistic version.

Didn't think it was possible, but the sculpt looks even weirder here than it did on the TV series figure. And why does he look so pale and sickly?

The head sculpt is meh, but I don't care, I was not expecting this right away especially the last few weeks of Star Wars reveals for us. I'm sure they'll improve the head sculpt like they'll do with the Kenobi from the Kenobi show.

This confirms our Clone Wars logo speculation too.

This feels like an Asmus figure. Everything about it is amazing except for the sculpt, which isn't even all that bad itself - it's just the eyes and odd mouth holding it back. Much like how the eyes on that Gandalf the Grey really ruined that otherwise very nice figure. That said, this is still the best Ewan Kenobi sculpt there's been and I'm half tempted to get it just to put the head on my ROTS figure.

Not really sure why they're using the animated style armor on this and Windu when literally all of the other Jedi and Clones that have armor, have real looking armor. Very odd choice.

Clone Wars 20th anniversary is about to be an extremely scary line. I’m definitely in on this to add to my display with Anakin and Ahsoka. Can’t wait to see what else this line could have in store. It’s not a perfect sculpt, Hot Toys are still struggling to nail Ewan McGregor, but the announcement alone is exciting. I definitely hope it gets improved, but so glad to see it get made.

Between this, Mace and Padme, this is an extremely exciting few weeks for collectors. Missing pieces, graveyard teases…somehow they’ve returned.
