Hot damn! I said they'd have an opportunity to release this the week before Ahsoka dropped, but I didn't actually believe it would happen. Next comes the price tag...

I think there might be a regular dewback + rider option too (in addition to the deluxe dewback + rider option). Regardless, I hope the deluxe isn’t a Sideshow exclusive.

Yeah, this completely overshadows the preorder of the artisan Anakin as far as I'm concerned. For me, this is the best thing Hot Toys has ever done. One of my earliest memories was my step dad buying me the Kenner Dewback, probably in a bid to win me over. It worked lol. Instant preorder.

THIS is THE iconic creature from Star Wars,like the Tauntaun and Wampa to TESB and Jabba to ROTJ,THIS will be mine.
The closed jaw and straight leg pieces add icing to the cake.
The Sandie looks amazingly dirty too.
And that length is enough to make Mandingo feel shy!!!
OMG i cannot wait for this.
Although Blurrg paved the way for a creature to make an entrance into Hot toys Star Wars range,I believe THIS Dewback paves the way for potential heavy hitters from the OT creature line e.g Wampa,Tauntaun and dare I say it,Jabba for the ROTJ line.

Maybe this is a one off because it started out as the Mando version and they shelved it for whatever reason, but then they decided to put it out under ANH as a way to make use of the effort they already put into it.

The timing couldn't be better either. I just made the first steps in building my Mos Eisley diorama, so he'll fit in perfectly.

Amen brother !! I saw someone posted on FB that ESB Han and Luke + Taun Taun should be next. They've opened the floodgates here.
As I've said before these beasts look so good in the collection and break up all the humanoid figures standing there together.

€562 for the deluxe with Sergeant. Shipping about €100. That's decent imo.
€365 for the basic Dewback is amazing. Same as some 1/6 figure's these days !

God dang this looks cool. The dewbacks have never been one of my favorite SW creatures, but HT did such a great job with this that it's going to be awfully hard to resist.
Fortunately I already have a Sandtrooper so would only need to pick up the dewback itself.

How good does the Sergeant Sand Trooper look as well !! Those OG helmets look soooo good compared to the Disney ones.
