I have a problem that I hope you seasoned customizers can help me with. I bought a Black Suite Spider-Man figure from a seller I can no longer get in touch with. When I received the figure, I noticed that the Tobey McGuire head sculpt was not seated in the plastic tray properly and his nose had been flattened due to rubbing up against the plastic and had melted flat slightly. As I can no longer get in touch with the seller, returning him is not an option. How can I safely and successfully round out his nose again so this isn't such a noticeable defect? Low grade sandpaper? As soon as I can, I'll upload a picture for reference. Thanks all.

Put the head in cup of piping hot water. There's an offchance that the plastic will just return to its orginal shape. It will also make it a little pliable so you can try and reshape with you fingers. No promises, but its worth a shot.

you might have to resculpt the nose and probably repaint the whole face because colour matching especially skin is a *****

upload some pics so we can see

Thanks Mondo, I tried the hot water and while it didn't pop back into shape, I was able to slowly form it back into a more rounded nose. There is some slight scuffing of paint but nothing I can't live with. Thanks for the advice.

Try hot water multiple times over and then use a blunt tipped object to push in the nostrils and then use needle nosed pliers to slightly squeeze the tip of nose to a point. Make sure pliers are clean, I'd suggest rubbing alcohol to clean first. Don't use pliers with ridges... js Years ago I found out the hard way what hemostats do. lol

Thank you guys so much. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take any before pics before trying one of the above solutions. I can an "after" picture. I'll post this weekend. I was able to heat the nose by dipping it in very hot water and using the back of a really small spoon, shape it back into a rounded tip. Like I said, there was some slight scuffing from where I first used sandpaper to put some texture back into the nose, as the initial flattening/melting left it shiny and texture-less. I can totally live with the result and don't even know if I'll attempt painting the tip of the nose. Thanks again for your help and tips. This is my first attempt at reaching out to the boards for help and you guys didn't let me down.
