Hot Toys Whiplash, Kunch 24 Tony Almeida reviews

Usually I use the week after Comic-Con for reviewing SDCC goodies, and have no fear - I'll get started with that on Tuesday, and probably dedicate at least 5 or 6 reviews to various items I picked up there. But I took a time out tonight to cover a figure that came in the mail was I was away - Iron Man 2 Whiplash from Hot Toys. Yes, he's great. I do have a few more issues with him than the usual Hot Toys figure, but he's still going to look fantastic on the Iron Man shelf.

Michael I agree with you on the head sculpt. Its a great sculpt but its not quite Mick and to be honest a much prettier version of him. Lets face it, the mans face is hamburger. Which to be honest makes him such a great character for film.

Great review. Can't wait to get him now. I do think you should mention the switch to the brown jumpsuit from the orange seen in the film though. HT has said its a legal thing from Marvel for all Whiplash figures, but it is still worth mentioning they aren't the correct color.

You know - I would have mentioned the brown if I'd noticed the change! Damn, I thought it was actually brown on screen, but now that you mention it, you're right, it should have been orange. Too bad about the legal issues...

A warning for those who want to read the Tony Almeida review, there's some pretty big spoilers for later seasons (without warning). Just a heads up for anyone still catching up on 24.

Whiplash looks like a damn impressive figure... but something about the character just doesn't speak to me. But, again HT shows that there is little they can't get to look right in 1/6
