Nope, I don't have any for sale or anything. Sorry to get your hopes up. :monkey3
But we've been seeing all these great headsculpts by Chris Howes lately, and I was thinking; what if we could commission some other sculpted parts, like armor?
Just imagine, if Chris would be interested, we could commission a 1/6 Kurgan armor, some King Arthur (Clive Owen) or Maximus (Gladiator), armor, Ninja Bruce Wayne gear, etc... :horror

Would anyone be up for that?

I would.

And there is this Spanish guy who made a 1/6th scale Ringwraith and was working on a 1/6th scale Death Dealer that can make armour. I think his name was amarcord or something like that.

Maybe we could start a sign-up list for everyone interested?

I'd say, post something if you're interested and what kind of armor (Kurgan, Maximus, Last Samurai, Ninja Bruce etc...) you'd like.
Then we could see what's most popular and commission Chris to get started! :banana

I'll go first:

Lord Vicious - well, everything I just named... :D But maybe a Maximus or Kurgan first

I'm contacting Chris Howes right now to see if he has time (and interest) in doing this. I'll update asap!

Sorry I've been out of the loop. One of "THOSE" weeks. All sorts of bad stuff, and some really good stuff all at once.

Armor shouldn't be that tough. The technique involved would be this:

I would take a figure, sculpt directly on it to a specific depth. Then make a first mold half. I take the mold half and lay in a layer of clay where the armor is to a depth SLIGHTLY less than the original sculpting depth. This will give the armor a little wiggle room. Then I make a second mold half over this.

Resin is injected into the resulting cavity. Presto! Armor. Not so tough. Probably will need to cast under pressure to avoid voids.

I'll have to calculate the cost, it's a bit more involved than casting a head, but if we get enough interest I can keep it reasonable.

Schedules tight, need to get some head commissions out of the way, then I can get into this...

Sorry to hear you've had such a tough week, buddy! I hope it'll get better soon?
But thanks for the great news, Chris! If we start with a Kurgan or Maximus armor for instance, I'm sure there would be a lot of people interested.

So, all of you Freaks who have been wanting a f'n medieval Kurgan: UNITE!! :rock

Chris and me are working out some details but we'll update soon on how this project will start, what the costs are etc... So stay tuned!

Hey All!

Sorry for cross posting this in all the threads I'm working in, but I just wanted to let everyone know my Figures.com interview is up. I'm the hairy disreputable looking fellow with the Tiki idol.

Got to Figures.com and click on the Licky Joker at the top the page.

And to answer the burning question on everybody's mind, yes, I did base Santa's physique on my own. :naughty
