How did THAT get on your iPod??

Ok, so I am sitting here at my desk and I always have my iPod on it's docking station and playing through my work day. I am typing up an e-mail and I hear this song playing and I am thinking "WTF is that??".

I look down at the screen and I have no clue what it is by the song title......I don't recognize the Album title and worst of all I have no clue WHO the hell this artist is. I don't own this CD so I sure could not have loaded it into my iTunes. It's some sort of techno/pop song

I have NO clue how the hell this ended up on my iPod, but there it is. Ever have that happen?

Kit, if you are on a network there is a slight chance you may be picking up someone elses iTunes list. It's happened to me before, but if it is ON your iPod.. I dunno about that.

That is strange, my understanding of the networking feature was that it allows you to listen to other users' iTunes, but you don't have the files and can't use them.

Yea, that's what Im talking about. I know last year I was playing around on my computer, music going through iTunes when I started hearing songs that weren't mine and lo and behold it was the networking feature. If it's on your iPod though that is really strange.

Yeah, I have no clue. In order for it to get ON my iPod it means it's IN my iTunes library. I will have to check when I get home to see WHEN this was loaded into my iTunes. It's really freaking weird.

I downloaded a song off iTunes before and noticed 2 other random songs downloaded along with it. I double-checked to make sure I wasn't billed for the additional songs and I wasn't.

It might be a friend playing a practical joke. I've loaded up a couple of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears songs on a (guy - metalhead) friend's iPod a few times, and it's completely hysterical to watch them when it comes up

My wife will sometimes download things from iTunes and I won't know it, then I will sync my iPod and unknowingly get whatever she bought.

I am playing songs and James Blunt comes on and I'm scratching my head...
