So I was looking through my old photos and I came across my first Sideshow piece I ever owned. Funny to look back and how I had this set up and remember how I had no idea what was comining. I bought this Vader thinking that this would be my 1 high end collectable.

Anyways share a photo of your fisrt Sideshow piece.

It was The Phantom of the opera 12" for me.I was at Forbidden Planet in 2001,just looking around as I was want to do in those days, saw it and loved it so bought it.I had nt long been on the internet then and when I got home I looked at their website and saw the announcement for James Bond figures and that was it,i ve never looked back.Been here since Dave started it up as well, forgotten when that was.

Hey Jaws, you should show how your collection looks currently, just so we can see how far you've come!

Let's see those first and latest pics!

My first 1/6th was HT Iron Man Mark III. (my real first figures were He Man, Transformers, G.I. Joes and Wrestling figures in the early 80s). But, as an adult it started with the Mark III. From there, I googled reviews and found MWCtoys and this site and OSW and now I am addicted!!!!!

I would and could but i have had so many pieces come and go. I don't even have Vader anymore.

I just had to sell my Spidey CQ and Punisher CQ for finacial reasons.

I also have limited space. So everytime SS comes out with a new Great piece I have sell an old one for room and funds.

Here is a link to my Showyourshelves post.

My wife bought me the high elf and numorian helms (the small ones) for an anniversary. I thought they were great and looked the company up online.....then I was doomed. If my wife complains my collection is getting to big, I just remind her that it's her fault.

For me it was the Sideshow Army of Darkness figures.

I was collecting low end stuff at the time but I didn't think anybody was going to make any more AOD stuff so I bought the SSC stuff.

Turns out there would be more AOD in smaller scales but I love my 1/6 AOD stuff.

Those figures opened the flood gate for the love of 1/6.

I think it all started in the 6th grade, my teacher was looking extra sexy that day. I couldn't resist, I unzipped my pants ............................ oh wait

:slap

My first step into higher end collecting was the Kotobukiya Sandtrooper (Orange Pauldron). The first 1:6 figure was the Medicom Stormtrooper and the first Sideshow was Commander Praji. My current collection can be seen here:

my first sideshow figures were sherman and the german sturmpioneer. which immediately led to the other brotherhood figures as well as the other bayonets and barbed wire figures. which led to the universal stuff, etc. their univseral stuff still makes me :drool.

My 1st taste started with the Koto Artfx Boba Fett, then a few other pieces followed, wasn't really hooked at this point before I got the Joker Dx, then the Batman Dx & then about 30 HT figures later, it really went down hill for me financially ;)
