How long should a refund take?

Hi there guys so I'm not gonna go on withy the whole story but basically I bought a sculpt of a fellow member we fell out and he said he'd refund my money once he sold the sculpt...... But that brings me to my next question why have they spent my money before holding up their end of the deal?

Which brings me too the final question how long should a refund take? I've been waiting a while for my $150 refund :/

That's what I thought I know beto has too sell the sculpt but surely he shouldn't of spent my money till it was delivered. I know people will start hating on me over this but when I desperately need that money I would expect a refund soon as I'm not getting the sculpt I paid for. Any advice ? I've tried contacting him and I know he has a good rep here but if this is the only way to get my message across then so be it :/

no advise other than a paypal dispute but I don't know your whole story. Why did you pay for something and get a refund on something that he still has in the same condition and now has to sell to someone else to get your money? If I had to guess without any more info it sounds like you backed out of the deal to me.

I'd open up a dispute via Paypal or your credit card company ASAP. I can't recall teh details, but I believe you only have a limited amount of time before any dispute you open is not vaild (sort of like a statute of limitations).

It's a long story basically I had a bit of a off day and said something about beto from a pervious experience and he got mad he refused too deal with me but told me I would get a refund once he sold the headsculpt...... It's been a while and I still have no refund. At this point I'm pretty pissed because I need the money and despite me apologising its got me no where.

I was hoping with the word of this I could get some advice on getting my money back! It's $150 if it was petty money like $20 I'd drop it but $150 and my point of this is I handed over the money even though the sculpt was already made there for my money should not of been spent until he held his deal.

And your probably right :/ worst and only member I've delt with..... Amazing art work but bad service. And all I wanted was a peaceful refund but instead I got mobbed by his fans and still no sign of my money.

PayPal or CC dispute is all you can do. Never rely on sellers/buyers to refund you themselves. You have 45 days with PayPal to file a dispute from day of purchase. If your passed that grace period, then you have to go through your CCd. However, if you paid by Gift Payment through PayPal, then your out of luck. PayPal does not refund Gift Payments as they are not meant to be used for Purchases.

Not that this excuses it, but if you gave the guy $150, and he spent it, and doesn't have that much now, he just may not be able to pay yet. Some folks get in over their heads sometimes. You may want to give him a little time to try and get the money together, but if it goes over a couple of weeks then I would be concerned.

I had this problem once but it was about $500 and it was past the 45 day and I did not use a credit card. After a few lies and being ignored a few times I had to bother the person often, call his workplace, threatan to call the police, etc. took me over 6 months to get the refund but I got the money back.

Sounds like you are in the clear to me morally... you can say whatever you want but money talks! Now where is it!

If you file a dispute he doesn't even need to have the money I don't think... his account may just go into the negative.

I know it's so sad the worst part is the guy who had my money is the guy I idolised and inspired me too collect He had the sculpt already just needed painting which he did but still not an excuse.
