When Sideshow originally announced its 12" Star Wars line I picked up 7-8 of them (Luke, Han, Leia, etc.) which stayed in storage for a couple of years.

Once I finally pulled them out, I was pretty underwhelmed with everything from the inconsistent head sizes and bodies to poor costuming and tailoring in many cases. To me they looked more like Barbies than collectibles. So they were all sold, along with some Medicoms which have since going up in value :(.

This was before I discovered that folks have been customizing and improving these pieces with new paintjobs, new headsculpts, replacement bodies, new costumes, etc. So now that I've started picking up Sideshow's Aliens, Droids and Troopers (which are significantly better), I'm interested in seeing what folks have been doing on the humans. I've already preordered the Hot Toys Luke, but we know how long it might be before they expand the line. So the best bet might be to go the custom route--buying pieces, purchasing bodies, commissioning new heads, commissioning a seamstress to create or improve costumes, etc.

Can folks share what they would do/have done to improve the core humans (formulas for headsculpts, bodies, costumes, accessories, repainting, as well as any photos would be most welcome).
Luke
Han
Leia
Lando
Obi-Wan
Qui-Gon
Mace
Anakin
Padme
Maul
Emperor
etc.

Thanks! And if there's another thread that addresses these questions, I couldn't find it.

I repainted this recently:
