How to get red wine out of carpet?

Oops.

I spilled a full glass of red wine all over my tan carpet.

I've tried resolve and it did a decent job. I rented a carpet cleaner machine from my local grocery store and it did nothing.

What do I do?

All you need right there, though i have never had to clean wine stains, this stuff does the trick apparently.

Pour white wine on it...

blot it and don't wipe..

sprinkle some baking soda and then some vinigar...

I work in carpet and the cleaner we use is called Capture. Never used it for wine though so I don't know if it would work.

Club soda is supposed to take wine out of clothes.

Okay, I tried a few ideas that people have given and this was the only one that worked. Thankfully I was able to stop myself from knocking over the glass of wine and still had time to buy a lottery ticket for last night. I am now a millionaire and I have a clean carpet!
