Ht joker kitbash or complete dx cant decide help and advice please

Hi guys,

ok im a little mixed up with what route to take so wanted to ask for opinions and help. I dont have a hot toys joker as yet, but want to get one to display, however with the dx and 2.0 being rather high in price, im considering buying the pieces seperately and putting him together myself rather then buying him as a complete piece.

the reason i am considering this is because im not really too interested in some of the extra accessories like the interrogation table, lamp and im not really a fan of the laughing headsculpt so would be alot of money to shell out for accesories that i wont use as id just like a really awesome looking joker, possibly with a repainted head/real hair displayed with a machine gun in the detolf on base, so wont use the other stuff.

again not sure what to do really, would it be alot cheaper buying the parts seperate you think?? rather then the full ht figure with the other bits~?

Depends, what your are wanting for your joker... What head sculpt, what outfit and what body you want to use? Head sculpts wise, you would have to commission someone to repaint and rehair, any hot toys release sculpt, unless you plan to try it yourself.. Or you can see what existing custom options are available.

Outift also whether you want DX01 or DX11, and will pay varying prices on the latter release for individual items like the coat etc...

building your own is a great way of making something truly your own, and if you don't have the funds all at once to buy a complete hot toys release.

well i just want to have a nice hot toys joker to display really, but im not fussed about alot of the accessories that come with the 2.0 so would be a waist for me...id just want to have him displayed stood up etc. like i said, things like the table, loads of hands and especially the laughing headsculpt im not bothered about.

headsculpt wise thats what i intended to do, have someone repaint and rehair it, either a ht head or a custom one from the board.

clothes wise, id like to go for whichever is the better quality and closer to the movie look really. im told some like the dx1 overcoat as its more closer to the look and colour of the movie.

that what i thought...id maybe save a bit of money in certain areas as i wont be buying so many accessories and it would be truely be something of my own like you said.
