Ok guys, here it is, the big moment, the big reveal...

Today was my first suit up of a Return of the Jedi suit I put together and made. I want your honest feedback, but be gentle, this is my first suit up. Although this is my somewhat messy first suit up, I couldn't resist making the shots into this short clip. The shots are quick n dirty by my wife and son Luuk (the latter on his iPod).

I'm working on a mannequin to display him as a life-size statue!

Thanks man. I just tried to do that, but I am on an iPhone right now.

Where do I begin...It appears that you need to work on the proportions of your suit. You have too much space between the various components(armor to box,box to belt, belt to codpiece). The gap between the armor and the chest-box should be no more than 1 1/2 inches. The other components vary depending on which film you're doing. You appear to have a very long torso, which ,unfortunately, was not the case with Dave Prowse;he is one of those rare individuals who is normally proportioned but just big(unlike, say,Peter Mayhew who is very lanky). Is your armor home made,or a purchased item?As with most Vaders(I myself do the character as a member of the 501st)it's all in the details.Your individual pieces look pretty good;you just need to work out the proportions and anchoring system(velcro is our friend),based, again,on which film you are aiming at. Not bad for a first timer;you ought to look into the 501st;gives you an excuse to suit up and do something positive with it at the same time...PS

Thanks for the feedback. Here is my second suit-up. I think it's much better. Couldn't resist cutting myself from the first picture and placing me on the death star!

BTW, can you tell me the best places to put velcro?
