That's right he arrived today!! The Witch King In True Form Statue. Tom (MottMorgul) offered me a great deal and since my deal with him for my Balrog went so well I went ahead.

I'm very impressed by this piece. It's much better than I thought it would be. I totally understand why this thing gets so much love. The well done Ghostly look of the piece is pretty freaking sweet! The flowing robes of the WK are very very well done. The pose is sweet to because I think you can feel the fear Frodo has when seeing this guy. I'm totally happy to have this guy in my collection and to finally have nailed down having the big three.

Whenever I look across my statues, I am thinking that the Wiki in Trueform is the statue I would separate with last. It's captured the essence of the character soooo well.

If people want to grab one, start looking guys. Ebay prices are fairly moderate right now (at least in Europe). A couple of days ago a mint one went for 900 Euros.

There is no piece missing from my collection that I did not conciously decide to pass on when it was still available at retail. Of course, back when everything was available, there was still no way to afford 30 figures at once (for me anyway) and one had to be be a bit picky. Since I had the RWOS, I passed on this representation. It's the biggest regret of my (very nice ) collection. Maybe someday I'll take a chance at it.

I did recently pick up a Watcher though, which was another that I wanted to go back for. The price is about half of the Wiki, so it was more manageable. I'm totally impressed with the sculpture. Many have commented before that it is somewhat underrated and I agree. I remember when they were giving away two free busts with the Watcher to try to help generate some sales! As I said though, back in that day there was a lot of great polystone you could pick up for $275, and most people simply made other choices. It's interesting how perspective shifts a couple years later, when supply is very limited, and many serious collectors have already aquired a good percentage of their "most desired" list.
