Avi Arad, producer of the "Amazing Spider-man" said in an interview that he called up Harry Knowles first to gauge what he thought of the story or something to that effect. I guess the Hollywood suits think his site can crush a film or help it depending on the access and exclusive content he is offered. I'm sure he makes what would be considered to be a type of Payola to favor shows. He writes a ton of positive reviews for films that are obviously not well liked. As well as gives things like this...
