I am so F^%$(@^ tired of my Star Wars and LOTR figures from Sideshow showing up at my house with frozen joints. Is it just mine or does anyone else have this problem. Over half of my figures arrive with joints that are glued frozen. And it is always the elbows. Sometimes it is the lower half of the joint and sometimes the upper half. Sometimes just the left one and sometimes just the right one. And sometimes it is both. I just opened my Palpatine/Sidious 2-pack and ALL 8 joints (both halves of all 4 joints) are glued frozen! And ths is not a new thing. This has happened with over half of the figures I have ordered from Sideshow. I am so tired of having to return figures.

I've only had it happen once, and it was easily fixed by forcing the joint (I pushed pretty hard and it didn't break but I don't know how much force it can take). Have you tried doing that or have they stuck completely?

Happens all the time - I don't even think about it anymore, just force them until they bend. I've broken one arm doing that, but it broke at the seams and went back together easily.

I have had a few show up like that and I have always just applied some force and all was good. Never had one break.

I've had it happen a few times. I just use a hair dryer to loosen them up.

And like Shai said, I rather them be too tight than loose.

Yep, same here. I apply a little extra force and viola. If that doesn't work a hair dryer does the trick.

tight good. loose bad.

I have tried both the heating with a hair drier and forcing them until I was afraid they would break. Both things resulted in damaging the joint that worked by stretching out the groove at the limit of the articulation for that side.

Did anyone have to take any special precautions for that?

And by the way. Thanks to everyone so far for chiming in with constructive comments so far.

I have to say I'm surprized too. I thought the poor dude was going to get flamed...

I've had this problem too, with Medicom and SCC; but I have no remedy. Heat would be my guess. The blow-dryer routine.

LOL...me too. But it didn't happen...and the night got even better. I said to hell with it and decided the joints would either loosen or I would break them.

They loosened.

That never worked for me before.

Now I have to go re-try all the others!

Thanks again all!

HOLY CRAP! Now Kit Fisto is fixed as well! And he was the one I had the MOST trouble with!

Edit - Now Obi-Wan Kenobi (ANH) is fixed!

Life is SWEET!

Edit 2 - Now Faramir is fixed as well!

I think those are the only ones I didn't send back.

I'm the opposite, I've never gotten them with frozen joints, but I've gotten quite a few that were very loose. And that really annoys me because I prefer to display without a stand whenever possible.

Good to here this dude. :rock It's scary doing that to them but I haven't had one figure that didn't get fixed like this.

I've never had this problem in the past, but for some reason the last 3 figures I've gotten Bespin Luke, Old Ben and a loose base body all had a frozen elbow. But used a hairdryer and problem solved.

Tight is better than loose :rock
