...but I figured I would this time While everyone else was watching diving at the Olympics, my daughter was finishing up her diving season at the USA Diving Jr. Nationals in Norch Carolina. She had a terrific season:

Regionals - 1st on 3m, 1st on 5m, 2nd on 1m
Zones - 1st on 3m, 5m, and 1m
State Champion on 1m and 3m for the third year, and set the new state record for 3m
Michigan Diver of the year for the third year
Nationals - 8th on 3m, 5th on 1m and 4th on 5m

Yep, next year at 12 she gets to start diving 7m platform. 5m is already too damn high for me! Hell, I won't even dive off the 3m, I'll only jump.

"Young Patrick came home from school with 98 marks on his mathematics paper. 98?! What am I doing wrong, why he no study hard enough? I tell him Patrick, you need work extra hard for other 2%!"
