"You say the book is important and I believe you, but
I want Solara for it"

I've been commissioned to make some figures from the Book of Eli.
Here's a sneak peak at one of them.

The Redridge sculpt.

I still need to add the scar to the face, but you get the idea.
I left some patches on the side of the head to use as the scar
tissue from the burns he has in the film.

Let me know what you think.
I will update the outfit and weapons in the next week.

Thanks Ike

So you just removed the hair from a Saves figure?

Yes. Plus shaped the head so it looked like an actual bald head(If you have it, you know what I'm talking about..:lol)

and blended all in with the existing paint with some painting and
weathering of my own. Their sculpt is a very nice Ray Stevenson
for sure. Just needed a little help to make it Redridge.

Some updated pictures.

Got most of the outfit ready. Just need some small details
like patches and of course his goggles.

Still working on the rest of the weapons as well.

I think he's really starting to look like Redridge now.....:clap

What do you think??

So far so good!

More to come...it gets better...:)

really like it. huge zippers though..always a pain.

Yeah, removed the biggest part of that zipper already.
I may try to grind down a bit more with the Dremel,
but not much more I can do with it other than ripping it out.
Though, once I get the shirt finished that goes underneath, I will
be opening the zipper more and be able to cover most of it with a flap.

hehe looking good man!

Thanks.

I'm just having fun with him now...:clap

Though, it's hard to see, I did carve a lot of
the scar tissue on his face and right side of forehead.
It just doesn't seem to come show up well in pictures.

You want to hear something just sick. I was so into getting
the patches just right. I found some pictures on some prop
website that showed some of the patches just by themselves.
These are those pictures....

So of course I had them made along with the others
I so painstakingly went through freeze frames to find.

Here's the punch line: They never made it into the
final cut of the film.

:doh:doh:doh:doh

Apparently they were on his trench coat after he got
promoted. But they cut that completely out of the film
and then just used a patchless coat for the rest of the filming.

So that's right, I have patches I can't use.

So do I use them on the trench coat and explain why, even though it's not in the film??

Anyone, feel free to chime in here.

Thanks.

Okay, here he is....the final version of Redridge.
I finished the custom leather holster, did a repaint again
on the stubble & added a little grey. Added weathering to
everything that needed it and I think he's done.

Hope you like, let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Ike
