I was wondering if we should start up a pride guide of SS pieces.

That will cost you.
That way people don't have to constantly ask or question the value of said item/piece. Of course this will be strictly concerning SideShow pieces.

Some of the ones I have seen on other sites aren't updated...or don't update enough.

It would only work if there were someone dedicated to updating it every so often. Prices change very frequently, sometimes day to day, so it would demand a lot of time and dedication, I nominate Eli for the job :D!

double fidge...

I was having a the same idea a few days ago. I actually got an ebay message from some anonymous person asking how much I sold some of my LOTR items for, that they were building a database. I didn't follow though on a reply. toytracker isn't very current anymore and Ebay's history is getting shorter and shorter, anything older than a few months is no longer visible.

So I think a thread similar to the feedback thread, or maybe even the numbered registration thread where people just reply with what they bought/sold and for how much, including edition number and/or ebay item # to prevent duplicate entries would be very useful.

Then it would just be up to the thread starter to add entries on first page. If peolple wanted a current value, they could do the math and averaging.

I have to ask, whats the point? Is this priceguide going to be used to make us all feel good about our collection, thus the prices will all be inflated to stupid degrees (just like every other priceguide)?

If its actually to be used for buy/sell purposes, I propose that anyone interested search for recent ebay sales. MesaScott's idea of listing what you recently sold or bought a piece for is good too. I wish it was done in all the sale threads, but I understand some people don't like to share that info.

The problem with Ebay is the complete auction search is very limited, you can only go back so far now, sometimes the stuff I was searching was not even on there because there had not been an auction for the item in such a long time.
