Good grief. I’ve never played this game but have heard of it (I suck at fighting games so I never play them lol) but this looks like an absolutely amazing figure. It wouldn’t be the first time I get a collectable when I have no attachment to the source material

The SF2 version of Ryu is much slimmer, you couldn't just pop an SF2 head on that body. It would look pin-headed.

The Alpha-era heads might work on these bodies. I'd be down for that.

I think it depends on the artist. I saw plenty of SF2 era work where Ryu was pretty buff.

... And some art did make him look like he had a tiny head. Lol.

Greetings Everyone!!! New guy here. Thought I'd post a few in hand pics of IconiQ Ryu. I'm a huge Street Fighter fan myself and I must say that this figure is outstanding. Definitely a candidate for Figure of the Year. If you're on the fence about picking this one up don't be....IconiQ Studios knocked it out of the park!

Well Street Fighter 6 might be your jam. They’ve got 3 different control schemes, 2 of which are welcoming to newcomers and casuals alike where combos and special moves/fireballs what have you are just a single button press!

The online in general is meant to be more welcoming and social with the Battle Hub almost being like a MMO lobby you can get down and jam to beats, play old school Capcom games or just spectate as you wait for matches.

I think it depends on the artist. I saw plenty of SF2 era work where Ryu was pretty buff.

Yeah. I think SFIV and V just made him more swole and jacked but Ryu always had some muscle but I get the slender idea too.

Oh absolutely. Everything they've said or shown off for SF6 is such a great step in the right direction that I'm excited as hell.

The only bummer is that I haven't managed to get into any of the closed betas but I love watching Maximilian's streams and content for it. Fingers crossed their will be another one in February after the Capcom Cup!

Anywho if anyone else gets Ryu or has it please share more photos or video reviews!! Might be a while before I get mine from Sideshow so I definitely wanna see more!

For some time, I have been bored with collecting 1/6 figures. But this is something else. Now I want Gouki even more.

Here are some more in hand pics of the packaging and box art. One thing that I really appreciate is the effort that went into making the box art standout. The outer shell of the art box opens up into Ryu's stage. It is held into place by a couple of magnets. The wraparound is a nifty touch. And it's actually very sturdy and wide when laid out. It's excellent for those of you, like myself, who like to add background effects to your display. The sides of the box replicate the character select screen of the video game. He comes with 6 pairs of hands, 2 pairs of feet, duffel bag, and Hadoken (fireball) effect. You can't really tell by the pics but his Gi is a dirty white. It's weathered and tattered which I think is a lot better than a cleaner white outfit. Kinda makes him look battle tested. The belt, handband, and his outfit is wired. They even included a pair of white gloves to handle your figure! (I love that) Lastly, this figure has some weight to it considering its metal skeleton. It is definitely heavier than I expected!! But despite the obvious extra weight it holds poses very well!! I've posed this figure pretty extensively over the last few days and it's fantastic. IconiQ did an excellent job with this one. I don't expect this figure to last long at all. Ken is next!

same here!!! I am more of a Ken fan and player! I have been waiting for him to be announced since last year when they teased the "alpha look". @Lord Turel

I’m up for the whole line and I love for them to release extra bodies with extra sets of clothing so you could do alternate outfits. Since you have a ton of hands and extra feet as well as an extra head - an extra body and outfit and you got 2 figures.

Im going for (6) Iconiq Ken masters. But at the core I want these 3 looks. I’m huge Ken fan, and with sf6 coming, he’s gonna have a big role in the story.. it’s a no brainer. I loved the way ryu turned out

According to the photos there would be 2 sculps with 2 hairs, one with a ponytail and the other with a not so long hair (sf2 and alpha looks)

6 Kens?! Mannn you're going to be on fire with power in your house lol that's gonna be awesome! And SF6 Ken looks so dope, I was blown away by his new appearance! I say the only ones I'd get many multiples of is someone like Akuma, Juri, Chun-li, Cammy, Vega, Bison and Menat! I really really want a Menat! MOST PREFERABLY her battle costume look with the wraps and longer hair. But I'll take either one lol. With Tbleague already releasing a lot of Egyptian type of figures, I was thinking about how great Menat would look from Iconiq along with them❤❤
