Anyone who has ordered direct from Iconiq know how long the shipping from them takes to arrive?

I ordered mine directly from Iconiq and it was delivered a week before Christmas here in Michigan.

Straight from the box. I'll do some more dynamic poses and tweaks later. For now, just needed to get him on the shelf to appreciate. He's right next to the shelf of Mortal Kombat ninjas, so I may have to finally do my own long-belated Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat showcase soon.

I finally had a chance to open him up I got him from TimeWalker. This guy is fantastic in hand so many instructions with the newly crafted body lol here’s a quick pic. And they actually included white gloves lol handle with care I guess.

After constant back and forth, I finally ordered Ryu from Kit.

I’m not good with my money but I still carefully consider things before I buy them. I am not the biggest pessimist, and I don’t usually hold anything to ridiculously high standards, but for every figure I’ve bought, I get a huge twinge of buyer’s remorse/disappointment whenever I’m unboxing.

But… Ryu is literally the first figure to change that! Everything about this figure has blown me away. Super excited to see what Iconiq shows off in the next few months!

Having gotten hands on with this and RocketToys Sengoku Basara, my current dream is if they could work together for an Alpha/SFII Animated Movie/other variant of Ryu/SF characters. RocketToys just nailed the anime face - this isn't to say Iconiq's is bad (it's not), but the aesthetics I'm really more in-tune with for SF is less SFIV/V and more the "anime look" of Alpha/the VS series artworks, and I trust RT to deliver given their recent figures.

Or, I'll just take an alt.heads DLC pack inspired by a bunch of popular SF illustrators. Please...

RT are definitely gonna have to do something about their bodies though. SB and Naruto figures so far…the stock bodies are disappointing.

I’d take Iconiq over RT any day of the week overall as a company. But I completely understand wanting other versions of ryu. I’m sure capcom is Iconiq most profitable license yet so why not milk us for what we got lol? But they will probably hop on sf6 next I feel.. alpha was too popular to pass up imo. My only disappointment in the company is how slow their line is going so far… like at this rate some could loose interest… at this moment in time no Ken, no chun li, no guile, no bison, no Akuma, no Vega.. so unless they start releasing two at a time it will take forever to gain traction

RT already has 3-4 Naruto figures.. so they already have a established line..

You know, looking at my collection, I realized Ryu is so ubiquitous that he has fought SEVEN of my other figures in some form of media.

And my collection is pretty esoteric and random. He's duked it out with everyone from Spider-Man to Captain America to the Power Rangers to friggin' Tekkaman Blade.

I can literally recreate Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on my shelf.

Yeah, more and more this was a slam-dunk choice.
