Go see 'Little Miss Sunshine' when/if it comes to a theater near you! It's in limited release right now, and I saw it this past weekend. It's one of the best movies I've seen lately! Seriously great. I laughed so hard that I cried on multiple occasions - but it's not just funny, it's also got lots of heart. I think Greg Kinnear is one of the most under-rated actors in Hollywood. And Steve Carrell shows a different side to his typical overtly-comedic style. I'm definitely buying this one when it comes out! Has anyone else seen it? I hope it gets recognized at the Oscars - it totally deserves it.

Not playing anywhere near me. How about I come over when you get it on DVD and we can watch it together :monkey3 (I'm only half serious)

There should be a review thread :-

Dusty's DVD Dungeon!

I agree! You should give us the lowdown on all the new movies and rate them out of 5 stars! :lol

Guys, we should start a popcorn fund for Dusty !

No offense to Dusty's movie rating prowess, but I think there should be a guys review of the same movie to get both perspectives.

Thanks Dusty! I was going to make the trek down to the Arclight this past Saturday to see it (since that's the closest theatre for me to see it) but ran out of time. I might see it this weekend though. It looked quite good.

I was interested in seeing this, but it's not playing around these parts...

I'm assuming that it will get a wider release, as it's doing very well in limited right now. So just keep on the lookout!

As for a guy's opinion - I saw it with a couple of guys, one of which is a typical macho 'tough guy' - motorcycle-riding, tatoo-sporting, muscle-y type. He LOVED it. Couldn't stop talking about it after it was over. Of course, he has hidden 'sensitive' depths - so if you don't have any depths, you probably won't like it (nothing blows up, although there is a dead guy and some porn jokes).

Seriously, do yourself a favor and see it if it should come to a theater near you.

I have tats and muscles, I don't think that qualifies me as a "macho tough guy" though. I think those guys are all frauds just putting up a front because they think that's how a guy should act. I'm not sure how hidden my sensitive depths are though I'm getting better at hiding them. I'll keep an eye out for it around here or at least Netflix it when it comes to DVD.

Dear Lord, I was so afraid you had gone off the deep end and would say Miami Vice. What a horrible movie! Waste of time and money to go see that one. So glad I had free passes, but what a waste of them on that.

Thanks, Dusty, I've read several reviews/articles about this movie and it's on my list to see as soon as it's in my area! Can't wait, it looks hilarious!! :monkey1

Saw this last night and thought it was great! Touching, funny and quite zany at times. I saw this film with a few of my male friends and they liked it as well.

I also found it interesting that the 'Redondo Beach' sequence was actually filmed in Ventura, CA (a local city where I am). I always find it interesting to see places in Ventura County showing up more and more in films over the last few years.

I'll give it to you Dusty, this was a great movie. My friend lent it to me and I watched it last night. I was almost on the floor by the end of it.

Good to see you gave it fair shot! Isn't that whole scene with the car horn hysterical? And the end dance - I shoulda seen it coming, but I didn't! Thanks for reminding me that I need to go buy this ASAP!
