If you could find out how you were going to die would you want to know ?

This thread might be a bit deep but I think it's an interesting question. If you could find out how you were going to die would you want to know ?. It could be within a week after finding out or it could be 70 years later. A few people I've asked this have said they would want to find out since they might be able to prevent it.

I don't think I would personally , I'd always be counting the days down.

I wouldn't want to know either. I'd rather let my life play out how it's going to play out. Knowing the future can be a dangerous thing so trying to prevent how you die could have some serious consequences.

Hmmm...good point....so does that mean if you don't ever go to the place that they said ur gonna die....does that make you immortal?

But then you have to wonder if you know how you're gonna die, would the events that were gonna lead to that death continue on that course? Doubt it. So you would be set on a different course and a different death would be waiting for you, one which you do not know.

Well... you could see it in a Big Fish point of view... If you know how and when you are going to die, for instance when you're old... then you could all kinds of stuff in between because you know you won't die doing them...

As for me... nah I wouldn't want to know... although I do hate surprises...

If you were told when the date would be, then your actions will change because you are conscious about the date..

Then, you will probably die another day which you won't know. At least that's probably close to the day, so you can still plan out your life.

i promised myself i'd die doing something i love. no death bed for me.

IMO, it doenst matter much to me, we're all going there...the EXIT.

My grandfather's best friend was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer 2 years ago and they gave him less than 6 months. Surprisingly he's still alive, but he's basically been withering away from treatment, and in my opinion I'd rather not have to go through that kind of stuff. Just let me go my own way.

I wouldn't want to know. God will take me whenever my time here expires. I think we just need to enjoy every day that we have here on earth.
