I saw someone online post a photo of their statues displayed on an IKEA Vittsjo, and thought that it looked pretty amazing. But when I went to the IKEA Website, it stated that each of the shelves could hold 60+ pounds... and three of them are made of glass!
I can see that some people have successfully displayed heavy statues on these shelves, but I'm a little wary of glass having heard all the horror stories of detolfs exploding with 20 pounds on them.
Does anyone have any experience with this wide style Vittsjo and how reliable they are, and whether or not the 60+ pounds cited by IKEA is actually accurate? I really like the look of these, but I don't want to risk my statues' lives...
