Pats=CHEATERS!!!

You can't really fault the entire team for the mistakes of their coach. Belichick really screwed the pooch there, and in his behavior of late, and I agree that his actions are detrimental to the Patriots organization and the team as a whole.

He deserves the negativity, HE does... not the rest of the team. I love that team, they have lots of talent and great personalities... Belichick is really something different altogether.

I just hate that the entire span of our dynasty is now tarnished by such a stupid mistake. And you can hardly support your team anymore without everyone on the street saying you root for a cheating team. It's bullcrap.

Yell at Belichick, don't punish the team and most of all... not the fans.

This is my personal message to Belichick, from a Pats fan... :moon

Some would say that going down as a team that went 18-1 and lost the Super Bowl to a Wild Card team is embarassment enough. I wouldn't.....but some would...:lol

I don't see it that way... I see a great team that spent far too much of the season at the top. By the Super Bowl, they were far too comfortable and no longer hungry. The Giants came in with SUPER momentum and the desire to topple the Pats perfect season. They were there with their A game.

The Patriots did come into it at the end, but the Giants were not so easily taken out. They fought harder than any team I have seen all year during that final drive and really brought it home. Nobody can take that away from them. You have to respect that strength of will and determination. They were champions, without a doubt.

I just hope that next year is not perfect, I hope we have a few losses in there before the end. If anything to light a fire under them and (hopefully) carry them in for a win at the end of the season. If we even make it to next years Super Bowl.

I'm a Giants fan, but you're kidding yourself if you don't acknowledge what the Patriots did this season, was there taping involved ? I don't know. But they at one point were 18-0, that's insane when you think about how many things have to line up in order to have that happen. Other than the Superbowl win, 18-0 trumps the Miami Dolphins 17-0. I have nothing against the Dolphins, but can't stand to hear Mercury Morris anymore! To win anything 19 straight times is tough, that's not taking anything away from the Giants, who played hard. The Patriots were a great team that fell a a bit short of accomplishing the greatest season ever. Like I said earlier I'm a Giants fan AND an NFL fan, I enjoyed keeping track of the Pats this season. I never though that a team in my lifetime would chase this record. The Pats and their fans should be proud of their team.

It's rumoured they taped the final walk-through of the Rams prior to the Pats' first Superbowl win. As an Eagles' fan I wonder if they taped their walk-through and after losing by only three points I'd like our Superbowl please.:google

Funny thing is, years back... in the Nineties.. Jimmy Johnson caught a news broadcast with Jim Kelly of the Bills practicing with the team for the Superbowl. Jimmy saw a toss play practiced a few times and adjusted his defense to look out for it. And the Cowboys won their second consecutive SuperBowl.

So I'm sure this kind of thing has happened before and to a few other teams that were never caught. Sometimes Coaches do things to ensure a win that others would not agree with. I can't say I condone it, but I know Belichick isn't the ONLY coach out there to go this route.

And besides, at the end of the day... it's not the plays or the coaches that really win the game. It comes down to the players and their ability to perform. The plays that win games are often unplanned and completed out of sheer athleticism. Like that insane play with Eli Manning escaping 3 linebackers only to throw it up.... and David Tyree catching it with a leaping catch...ON TOP OF HIS HELMET! It was something that no one could ever have foreseen. And it was executed by players that wanted it so bad that they would make it happen NO MATTER WHAT.

I still don't agree with Belichick for doing what he did, but I respect the team. And as a fan of the Pats and the NFL in general... it still was one Hell of a season.

they were caught last year in a win against the packers and were caught this year in game 1 vs. the jets. the team was fined $250,000, belichik was fined $500,000 and the pats lost a first round draft pick. imo, this wasn't a first offense and they should have forfeited that game against the jets. it's much easier to win when you know what the other team is going to do. the pats didn't accomplish a thing this year except put doubts in everyone's head that they won any game since 2000 without cheating.

The info gained in the Jets game did nothing for them during that game. The signals could not be used that fast, trust me. I have been around football my entire life as my dad has coached HS football my whole life. There would not be enough time during half time to have Brady learn all the signals and what D they connect to. This would be something they could use in the next game. I am sorry but this idea of this being a huge advantage is really a joke. Some teams have multipule guys with the D signals, on for front 7 and one for the DBs that means you need to know 2 sets of signals see what they did while in the huddle telling you team the play. It may help for a few plays if they key on one or two signals but still not the huge advantage they make it out to be. I will say filming a walkthru could be a bigger help depending on what the teams goes over in a walkthru.

I dont know about that...I mean if you've been cheating for so many years now i'm sure you had it down so that the tape could be applied and used after the half. JMO

What a waste of tax payers dollars to have stories like this and Clemens taken to the congressional level. There are much more pressing matters at hand in our country I'm sure.

Well said Josh. As a Pats fan, living in MA, it's a way of life around here and everyone's saddened and dissappointed with the turn of events, but even with the coaching staff utilizing this, information can only take you so far and you still have to bust your ass on the field. It's of little value to expect a play if you still don't execute your counter movie effectively. The Pats have a solid team with some hard working veterans and I still believe in the players, despite the shadow over the organization.

As a general statement on sports, I hate the state it's in. Football's full of cheating scandals, baseball is at a point where you have to assume almost every player's juiced up on steroids or hgh. There's no more heroes to look up to and admire anymore, you can't watch people without having a little voice in your head say something like gee I hope he's not on steroids. I'm 24 and my own man, but I still have my heroes and it's crushing when you learn bad stuff about them. I'm still bothered by Stallone using hgh and now I worry about some of my favorite athletes getting tied to it. Kids need someone that can positively influence them to look up to, and they're just not out in plain site, instead they're overshadowed by the wasted "role models" the media forces onto the world.

Illegal taping. Yes, I can understand why this upsets you. Does anyone of you have the slightest idea for how long our governments are doing illegal taping?

....I'd guees for as long as they have been able to.....and I hope they keep doing it.

Oh that scares the living **** out of me. Sports taping is upsetting, Government taps and all that, to me, the scary outweighs the upset. To think of how many of my text messages have been and are looked at or calls listened to or what not. Hell for all I know everything I do on my computer is tracked. I just can't live in utter paranoia, I have to enjoy my life for what it is while I have it.
