Does anyone know what the suit materials are made of?
Little hesitant to order a piece this expensive given all the degrading rubber issues we’ve seen in the 1/6 market.

Best sculpted version so far?

Wow. That sculpted head is looking supreme.
Chalamet’s hair has a very specific, wavy nature with up-curls that swoop the main bulk of hair around his ears that would be extremely difficult to style accurately with wool.

Given how InArt’s hair work is always less refined and far more volumous than their protos, I don’t see them being able to nail this style.

Odds are the sculpted will look much more movie accurate out of the box and the rooted figure will take some serious restyling, trimming, and re-gelling to achieve the best possible likeness that we like to believe we’re ordering from the solicitation pics.

Yeah, despite InArt launching as ‘the new company that does real, styled hair!’ they’ve probably advanced the standards and expectations of sculpted hair even more.

Joker being the obvious exception with those green spaghetti strands, but the rose tinted goggle effect has worn off with that figure now with most acknowledging it’s fell very short of meeting the expectations InArt set.

Luckily, they bounced back immediately and haven’t dipped since.
However, I am now starting to question if Wooten’s all it’s cracked up to be and if it’s really worth the higher price when not being painstakingly and precisely applied by a custom artist.

I think the rooting is the way to go overall. Only reason why I think the sculpted looks better on Paul is because of his unique hair styling.

I agree, rooted hair looks better on certain figures. If it's shorter/medium length and styled like Paul's, I don't really see the need for it to be rooted. Characters with long hair or straggly hair (like Aragorn) look better rooted.

Yes

I had been regretful that I ordered the sculpted rather than rooted version of this. However, seeing these new pictures of the sculpted version I certainly feel better about my choice.

My two cents -- flavored with copium, I'm sure, as a rooted buyer -- is that while I will not deny that the sculpted hair has the more correct shape, it makes the whole sculpt look more artificial. I look at the sculpted figure, and I see plastic. I look at the rooted figure, and it looks like a tiny person. This is a case where collectors are probably gonna have to decide which matters more to them: accuracy or realism.

Thanks, I needed a strong hit of copium after that sculpted hair revealed itself and made me question why I’m spending more money for less accuracy.

I don't think there's a wrong take.

They've proved competent with their hair sculpts. In the right hands, rooted looks insanely good.

Honestly, from viewing distance, sculpted is more than acceptable. But when you get up close, the rooted retains the illusion longer.

I still stand by the thought that I think rooted hair much shorter than Aragorn is overkill for what it is. Like I really think that rooted Iron Spider is silly.

Wonderful :clap are these from ACGHK?

Just a liiiiiiitle iffy on that headsculpt but I know its a prototype. Accessories look great, as does the suit
