Here's Unreal's latest update on the head. His painting leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion, but cool to see the neck gap doesn't seem to be there
It's got potential. Already looking better than Inart's by a good margin I think. I definitely prefer the neutral mouthplate over this new one he shared though. Paint could also be improved as @Cap'n Cook mentioned. Cap, which painter do you have in mind if you decide to go forward with this?I prefer Inart's sculpt over this tbh
I was thinking of now looking for spare chest and shoulder pads to do this with my InArt or maybe switching my current HT parts to InArt's might make both look better in some way.Very pleased to see the first ‘hybrid’ of the two figures working so well.
Cannot wait for mine to arrive in a week or so and do the same.
Any tips for the belt? I know I'll be setting a day off for the task, lolAfter that game, cba to go into depth or take pictures.
This figure is impressive. Incredibly impressive. At first I was underwhelmed with it's size, compared to Hot Toys the overall figure is smaller in scale (Hot Toys really did get larger through time), but this is in scale perfectly, although I would have like the overall figure to be bigger.
Aside from my gammy left arm which is stiff and doesn't ratchet or sit flush, the anatomy of this figure is insane. The details of everything are incredible, especially at this scale. And they're also incredibly frustrating, it feels like Inart wanted you to share in the horrors of their feats by making you partake in putting a belt on, and with a lot of movements the belt and everything on it is finnicky and moves, quite frustrating. But man, impressive at this scale, the thinness of the materials allowing for the poses it can achieve, the quality oozes.
I hate the system for moving the eyes, it needs a tool really to move them, which as far as I see it doesn't come with. Also the mess it makes to the hair, not a fan at all. The likeness is really good, they eyes are fantastic, they really fixed it compared to the hideous Joker release.
Overall, very impressed. Have to get used to the smaller scale of the figures, but this just increases the amazement at their achievements of cloth and articulation. The packaging is very nice and secure, a lot of accessories, too much to be honest. The base is a piece of crap, cheap plastic with a strange magnet design, just make the whole base a magnet...
The instruction manual is also in depth and lacking instruction, directions of clipping belts and placement of items could be clearer I think.
Final impression:
New age of 1/6 for sure.
Edit to add: I don't obsess over something being 100% screen accurate, but if anyone feels the need to mod this outside of the cape I think that's mad, but I suppose some people enjoy that, but it really doesn't need mods.
